hallo,
I'm the maintainer of the stellarium package and have got an request
from the astronomy SIG to package stellarium for EPEL-6.
Unfortunately, this packag contains Requires to dajavu font packages
which are depending of the fedora release for which this package should
be created.
So I want to ask, if anyone can tell me, which dajavu font packages I can
expected on RHEL 6.
Best Regards:

building packages for mirrormanager
by Matt Domsch
I've been building packages that are in the dep chain for
mirrormanager today. I either used what was committed after the mass
branch, or if I knew devel/ had a "better" version, bumped to that.

mrepo I very recently took ownership of, and am actively working on
updating and fixing various bugs. I hope to have a fixed and updated
version in -testing in the next few days. There doesn't seem to me to
be much point in building the current version for EL-6, as I know it
will not work properly, and will be updated so soon.
netsniff-ng is awaiting an upstream release to fix various issues with
the current svn snapshot. I am closely following upstream mailing lists
- the 0.5.5.0 branch is getting very close to being stable now and I
expect to have a stable package of this long before RHEL 6 is released.
I can build this one for EL-6 before this if desired, however the coming
release will change command-line syntax and output formatting somewhat
so my original intention was to hold off until the new package was ready.
Please let me know of any comments on either!
-James
P.S. I am not currently subscribed to epel-devel list, but hopefully
will have 5 mins today to sort that out. In any case, it's best to
contact me directly for the moment.

I have a major upgrade in plan, I want to release a newer version. Hence
I did not (and do not plan to) build the older version.

rhel 6b2 puppet missing dependencies

anaconda's speaking:

I am not sure if the problem is with the puppet rpm from epel or with
the ruby package from rhel. I also checked on a centos 5.5 and nothing
seems to provide ruby(selinux).

The owner of django-evolution orphaned it on Friday. Since it's a

Packages in RHEL-5 missing from RHEL-6
by Michel Alexandre Salim
Hi all,
Some key audio packages appear to be missing from RHEL-6, even though
they are in RHEL 5 (not in EPEL):
e.g. attempting to build libfishsound, I get the following error in EL-6:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=22931

DEBUG util.py:256: 1:pkgconfig-0.23-9.1.el6.x86_64
DEBUG util.py:256: No Package Found for speex-devel
DEBUG util.py:256: No Package Found for libsndfile-devel
DEBUG util.py:256: No Package Found for liboggz-devel
libsndfile is in EPEL and I've requested an EL-6 branch, and I
maintain liboggz, so I'll request EL-5 and EL-6 branches, but flac,
libvorbis and speex really should be there. Is the dist-6E-epel target
misconfigured, or the packages are really not there?
On EL-5 only liboggz is missing (this can be added to EPEL)
