--- Comment #15 from Nicolas Berrehouc nberrehouc@free.fr --- Can anyone explain why Gajim 1.8.x is still not available in the repositories? An automatic package build problem?
Is there any way to correct this problem and make the latest version of Gajim available?

postix@posteo.eu changed:
What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |postix@posteo.eu
--- Comment #21 from postix@posteo.eu --- Gajim 1.9.0 now requires newer versions or new packages:
* python3-sqlalchemy (>= 2.0.0) * python3-emoji (>=2.6.0) * python3-pillow (>=9.1.0) * python3-nbxmpp (>= 5.0.0) * python3-omemo-dr (>=1.0.0) * protobuf (>=4.21.0) * glib2 (>=2.66.0) * sqlite-libs (>=3.35.0) * gstreamer1-plugins-ugly
(In reply to Michael Kuhn from comment #16)
I have been working on an 1.8.x update, but we are currently blocked. Gajim 1.8.x requires omemo-dr, which needs protobuf >= 4.21, which is still in progress: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/protobuf/pull-request/26
This has been superseeded by https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/protobuf/pull-request/28 and in the final comment https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/protobuf/pull-request/28#comment-201041 it looks like it builds now. So, is everything now cleared for python3 protobuf at least for rawhide? :)
It would be great if you could look into it. Version 1.7.3 is now 14 months old and many things have improved and new features arrived.
Thank you!
