Hello everyone,
I'm David, 35, from Braine-le-comte in Belgium.
I have an 8-year-old boy and 5-year-old daughter.
I'm a software engineer, started as Java developer, then Python (I'm
more of a backend guy, but I like ReactJS), but I always liked the infra
side as well so the last few years I naturally evolved to DevOps.
I worked on logging and monitoring using ELK and Kafka, CI/CD pipelines,
automation (Ansible, Terraform, ...), I enjoy Kubernetes (and work with
OpenShift).
I like to have the big picture, and help improving the Software
Development Life Cycle and value stream using data (metrics).
I use Fedora as my daily driver for a few years now, and used various
other distributions before that.
I'm not really sure how I learned about it, but I used (and still use) a
lot of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, so probably at some point I was exposed
to Fedora.
I'm using FOSS since a long time, but I also use proprietary software
when needed (though I try to avoid more and more).
I never really participated, but I would like to start.
I thought about what projects I could participate in, and Fedora's
values really resonate with me, so I would be honored to participate
even a tiny bit, to give back a tiny portion of what Fedora gives me
everyday.
I will be conservative and say that I could start with 3 hours per week,
because I'd like to do that in the long term, and hope that I can
increase that in the future.
Looking forward to contribute !
David

Hello Ankur,
Thank you (again ;)) !
The ticket was very helpful. I'm hanging out a bit on IRC.
I was searching a bit where I could start contributing, so I subscribed to a few lists
(infra, CI, devel).
I'll continue observing a bit, and trying to find something I could help on.
Have a nice day !
David
