It also means that whatever patches we apply after the branch should be
applied to three branches (release-0.4.1 , release-0.4.0 and devel).
Let's hope there are no such patches ;)
Actually I wouldn't bother with release-0.4.0 anymore since we will not be
releasing anything from it anymore. But as always any fix needs to go into devel
before being added to the current release branch.
The alternative would be to continue on 0.4.0, add commits needed, tag
the release and use that version. But I'm not the releng, for sure.
I would feel kinda weird putting patches on top of 0.4.0 branch and then
releasing it as 0.4.1 :-)
