Hello all,
As of this morning, most of the Flock 2016 recordings from talks are
uploaded to the Fedora Project YouTube channel. You can find all of the
videos here in this playlist...
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0x39xti0_65Anh9Ik2riyO-ilHXcVrcH
…or, you can find them in table format on the wiki on this page.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Flock_2016_Talks
There are a few caveats and notes that need to be mentioned.
=== Microphone issues ===
Unfortunately, two laptops seemed to have defective microphones for the
conference.
The microphone on the Chelmonski laptop was completely dead, and as a
result, any and all talks in that room do not have any audio. :( I don't
know of any way to resolve this (I also don't have the source files to
check if the audio was lost in upload).
The openQA laptop microphone picked up loud feedback, and as a result,
all talks in that room have annoying feedback that interferes with
listening to the video. I also don't know of a way to resolve this issue
either.
=== Picasso talks not yet available ===
At this time, all talks from the Picasso room are not yet uploaded. The
videos have been progressively uploaded throughout this week and
manually sorted and processed. I anticipate that the last round of
uploads will be coming soon for all Picasso talks. I will send another
update here when they are available.
=== Speakers! ===
==== Check your links! =====
Speakers! The videos, playlist, and wiki page were all processed
manually and at a very early time in the morning – if every speaker
could locate their talk on the wiki page, check the links, and then also
review the YouTube video and its description for accuracy, that would be
a huge help. There's too many for me to go back and review them all.
If you could please review the links, descriptions, and video for your
talk to make sure they're right, that would be a huge help as it's very
likely I missed one or two. If you do notice something wrong, please
reply back here. Otherwise, you don't need to worry about notifying.
==== For those with disrupted audio… =====
If your talk was one of the ones with no audio or disrupted audio,
please consider uploading your slides or any other resources for your
presentation as soon as possible. Please make sure you add the link to
slides on the wiki page for your talk(s).
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Flock_2016_Talks
Also, once you add it to the wiki page, please ping me with a
notification that you have added your slides, so I can go and add the
link to the YouTube video for your talk. This should help with
preservation and helping remote viewers at least get something out of
the presentation / talk.
Thanks! If you notice anything else odd, don't hesitate to reach out to
me. Enjoy!

Hi,
Did you use slides or other materials during your talk at Flock in
Krakow? Do you have them posted online? I'd like to collect a list of
urls for the slides for the talks.
Please update the wiki page below with a link to your slides:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Flock_2016_Talks
If you don't have a url for them you can email the file to me and I will
post it. If you can't edit the wiki, email me and I will make the edit
for you.
I've linked in all of the transcripts I am aware of. Hopefully we can
get the videos linked once they are online.
Thank you.
regards,
bex
Hi,
For those using Google/Android technology, as a side product
of our efforts to prepare the maps for the Flock attendees,
here is an online map:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1jaMfMOHsqFBuPtR65eKM9o52Mp4&usp=sharing
Feel free to use it in your devices. There are multiple layers
related with different kinds of interest (event, getting there,
hotel neighborhood), you should switch in on/off according to
your needs.
Cross-posting to speakers and attendees lists to make sure all
interested people get it.
Regards,
Rafal

Hello everyone!
I'm curious about certain things about transport. There will be a bus from
airport to Krakow? If not, what would be better to take, bus, taxi,
something else?
Is there any details we should be aware of?
Cheers, thanks,
Sylvia S.
I've been looking at http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Poland
and am a bit confused, especially by the mandatory registration that
seems to have gone into effect on July 25.
Can we get a SIM card at the airport, and what's the best operator/plan
for a reasonable amount of data for a couple of weeks? Voice and SMS
don't really matter to me.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Or maybe I just couldn't get LTE where I was at. Just checked and LTE
is working just fine here. Wonderful!
Thanks much,

Just thought I'd put my 2¢ here. I've just arrived in Poland for the
first time today, with my wife and four small children. We've rented a
flat using Airbnb and were trying to decide whether to take the
official airport taxi or public transportation. The Jakdojade.pl
Android app finally pushed the decision in favor of public transport,
especially since it offers a free 1-month trial of the premium service.
We put in the airport as our starting point, the address of our flat as
the destination, and Jakdojade calculated how much we'd have to walk,
what buses to take, and which tickets we should buy for the buses, even
taking into account that the routes are different today given
everything else happening in Krakow right now. Even with four small
kids in tow, there was no stress involved, and we arrived at our flat
within the time estimate.
As a first-time visitor to Krakow, I'd strongly recommend this app if
you're planning to navigate public transportation in Krakow.

Speakers,
I've created a wiki page for those of us flying in, so that some of us
can split rides.
While I realize that there is a train from the airport, I'm taking an
overnight, and won't be keen to drag my luggage for 1.5 km from the
train station (or, for that matter, figure out the stop names and ticket
system).
If you might want to split a ride to the Best Western, please add your
details!

Hi,
Some people have already announced that they would like to
arrive in the morning, at 9 am or 10 am. Please be aware
that the hotel check-in starts at 2 pm. [1] If you are going
to arrive before that hour please contact the hotel staff
directly or contact me. The hotel staff said that they will
try to accept the guests at earlier hour but even if they
know that you are going to arrive early it may not be possible
to prepare the hotel room for you because the preceding guests
are allowed to stay in their rooms until the noon (12 pm).

Rafal

Dear all,
would you be interested in saying a few words about your activity at Flock for a Fedora Magazine article?
Question is: What would you like to achieve at Flock 2016? In other words, what outcome would you like to see?
I'd be happy do an interview with anyone interested.
Looking forward to your responses,
Thank you,
