Hello everyone,
Just a note to let you all know that we've been reviewing talk and workshop submissions for FUDCon Pune this past week, but won't be
able
to finish deciding on the accepted talk list till a couple weeks more. We had earlier set the deadline for 3 Apr, we now are revising to 15 Apr.
There have been a lot of submissions, and scheduling time + holidays hampered us meeting to decide on the submissions.
Also, we're asking a few speakers for updating / clarifying their
talk
abstracts, so that adds to the delay too.
Nothing is blocking on this activity, though, and this delay isn't impacting the final schedule, so we're safe for now.
I think Travel sponsorship is blocking on this activity. Good to get exact number of speaker ASAP. It will give clear picture of how many people we need to sponsor.
Not really, we've decoupled those two by having barcamp sessions. Also we're going to prefer Fedora contributors irrespective of talk sessions being accepted.
For non-Fedora or new contributors we will decide on their requests on merit as well as available budget in addition to talk submissions.
