Please set the "Component" below to the correct event for your request.
Tell us the following:
* What do you need covered? (Please estimate the costs in USD: hotel $X,
travel $Y)
Travel (US$350, Hotel US$200)
* If we cannot provide a full subsidy, will a partial subsidy be helpful?
(Yes/No?)
Yes
* If Yes, specify the minimum amount you need covered to facilitate your
attendance.
Airfare one-way (US $350)
* What will you accomplish by being at FUDCon? (Please be as specific as
possible, since this is the most important factor in granting requests.)
I have a new topic-based authoring solution for Fedora Documentation. The
current Fedora Installation Guide is based on the RHEL 5 Guide that I
wrote in 2006, and is an early attempt to do modular, reusable authoring
(see attached presentation). Since then I've been working on a system that
supports division of large documentation tasks into small chunks of
modular, reusable text. Now we have it. Some videos are here:
http://vimeo.com/channels/289144
I want to present this system at FUDCON, and get some support to host it
in Fedora and start using it to write Fedora Documentation.
* If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information such
as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times. Also
let us know if you have specific time restrictions.
16 May ex-OOL Air Asia D7 203 AU$329
* Do you need a visa or other official processing before you can attend
FUDCon? If so, approximately how long does that processing take?
None required.
* Include any additional, relevant information.
