Actually FUEL is a project working on solving the issue of standardization and consistency in language computer translation. In this project, all community localizers sit together to discuss on the list called FUEL list:

Mustafa is already showed eagerness to work on this...and we will create a page there for Urdu. You all can join there to work together!
Arjuana: I have discussed these issue with Mustafa and one another persons and hope gnome status will improve for Urdu. From India also lots of people want to see Urdu desktop. Lets us see!
