Proposal: Fedora G11N Steering Committee
by Pravin Satpute
Hi All,
I am sure, most of the people working with Fedora I18N, L10N from 5-6
year must be aware regarding Fedora L10N Steering Committee. [1] As far
as i know this committee was active around 2009 and very effective.
During Fedora G11N activity day discussions, we again felt there is
need for some kind of official committee to drive Fedora Globalization
activities. Fedora is growing faster with number of different domains
and G11N also need to adapt those changes quickly to remain on the track.
For this purpose and in line with [1], we were thinking of Fedora
Globalization steering committee. I have created initial proposal for
it. [2]
Its open for feedback, please feel free to share other active members,
discuss in your respective language groups. This is just initial
proposal and i am sure, we can improve and make it more effective with
active participation.
Regards,
Pravin Satpute

[Followup] Translation deadline around Beta
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi All
I have looked through devel team schedule closer, and decided to propose
the move of all software translation related events rather than the add
another translation deadline, to minimize the impact to devel and
Rel-Eng teams. However I only have translator's view and not
developer's. If you think this is impossible with some reason, let me
know. Also it is much appreciated any input.
Thanks

Can we also have g11n meetings at EU-friendly times?
by Baadur Jobava
Dear Fedora g11-ers,
All the g11 meetings are held during very early morning EU time, or times
not accessible easily (middle of week, morning). Is it possible to have
some meetings in on a Saturday/Sunday morning or evenings (UTC-wise).
Thanks!

Fedora 24 L10n Test Day Proposal
by Ani Peter
Hi,
Its time to decide the date for Fedora 24 L10n Test Day!! As per Fedora 24 schedule [1], Alpha Release is on 22nd March and the Software translation deadline falls on 5th April.
Can we have the Fedora 24 L10n test day on 29th March (Tuesday) ? We will thus have time to test the ISO for L10n and the test cases. L10n team will have one week time to fix the translations before 5th April.
What do you guys think?
Thanking you
Best regards
Ani Peter
