Just a quick one-off note to those who may be interested in a new repo
called Dribble for Fedora Core + Extras. It provides packages with a
focus on fun distributable software, not already found in Core, Extras
or Livna for various reasons such as their stricter legal requirements.
For example, emulators, additional games and multimedia apps can be
included in Dribble.
The repo aims to provide support for all 'current' versions of Fedora
Core including devel, for i386, ppc and x86_64. Unlike other similar
repos, Dribble won't replace, upgrade or obsolete any packages found in
Core, Extras or Livna but is intended to work in conjunction with them,
obviously Dribble is in no way affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Dribble bases its packaging and review process on that of Extras to help
provide the same high quality packages as you're used to with Extras. If
you're interested in helping out or using Dribble, please have a look at
manaworld 0.0.21 was recently released, and is a necessary upgrade as
the single server instance has also been upgraded and will no longer
work with the 0.0.20 client. One of the changes in this release is a
requirement on guichan 0.5.0. The current version in both FC5 and FC6
is 0.4.0, which won't work.
The only other package that I've found that depends on guichan is one
that I've submitted for review (sear, #198839). Does anyone know of any
other packages that depend on guichan or any other reason that we
couldn't upgrade it to 0.5.0?
I was listing the contents of the kdegames package, and I found a game (wow...
what a big suprise!!!), but it has no entry on the Menu (kde at least).
I thought that this is the place to post it.
