I have been using this package now recently and it works ok for me - uses most of Till's latest package but slightly simpler: just xmonad.desktop for xmonad-start.

I feel this is probably enough for the initial fedora xmonad package. We can get more sophisticated later if necessary, but for now I suggest advanced users who want to customize their session startup can use xorg-x11-xinit-session and ~/.xsession say.
