#44: 9gag like system for the archive page? ------------------------+-------------------------- Reporter: pingou | Owner: Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Beta version Version: | Keywords: ------------------------+-------------------------- On the website 9gag.com, the page becomes longer as you scroll down.
Would this be something to consider for the archive page instead of the current hard-coded pagination?
#44: Archive page to autoload additional content, extend page as user scrolls down ------------------------+------------------ Reporter: pingou | Owner: Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: 1.1 Version: | Resolution: Keywords: | ------------------------+------------------ Changes (by sumanah):
* milestone: Beta version => 1.1
Comment:
This is an interesting idea! The only reasons I can think of *not* to do this:
* if we want to use a footer and make sure users can see it * it would be harder for someone to make and share a link to a specific paginated subset of the archives, e.g., the first 20 posts from a particular month
But overall I like this idea and I think the negatives aren't very strong. I'm marking this as an idea for the next milestone. Thanks!
