Description of problem:
JTextArea & JTextField do not send XIM_SET_IC_FOCUS & XIM_UNSET_IC_FOCUS to XIM
server.
When JTextArea & JTextField work with XIM input methods, it do not set or unset
ic focus via XIM protocol. So XIM server can not handle focus for Java
application properly. I did not try other java widgets, maybe they have this
problem too.

if one sends the key event to SCIM too much and too faster, the application,
such as emacs and xterm freezes.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
scim-1.4.7-32.fc10
How reproducible:
always as long as it's on the above condition
Steps to Reproduce:
1.change the keyboard repeat setting to make this easier to see, like
gconftool-2 -s -t int /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/delay 100 and
gconftool-2 -s -t int /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/rate 110
2.open xterm with XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM
3.keep pressing a key until it freezes
Actual results:
freeze
Expected results:
should handles it properly
Additional info:
What exactly happened on this race condition issue is:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=452849#c19
Quote from XIM specification:
In on-demand-synchronous method, the IM library always receives
XIM_FORWARD_EVENT or XIM_COMMIT message as a synchronous request. Also, the IM
Server needs to synchronously process the correspondent reply from the IM
library and the following XIM_FORWARD_EVENT message sent from the IM library
when any of the event causes the IM Server to send XIM_FORWARD_EVENT or
XIM_COMMIT message to the IM library, so that the input service is consistent.
If the IM library gets the control back from the application after receiving
the synchronous request, the IM library replies for the synchronous request
before processing any of the events. In this time, the IM Server blocks
XIM_FORWARD_EVENT message which is sent by the IM library, and handles it after
receiving the reply. Howerver, the IM Server handles the other protocols /at
any time/.
So in the case at the above URL, XIM server has to process XIM_SET_IC_VALUES
regardless of waiting for XIM_SYNC_REPLY.

If the imsettings and imsettings-xfce packages are installed xfwm4 settings are
confused and don't think xfwm4 is the window manager.
1. Install imsettings-xfce
2. yum groupinstall XFCE
3. login and choose Xfce as your desktop.
4. right click on the desktop
5. choose settings manager
6. choose either "Window Manager" or "Window Manager Tweaks".
7. You will get a message:
"These settings cannot work with your current window manager (imsetting-xim)"
The code in xfwm4 hasn't changed in years here. It does:
wm_name = gdk_x11_screen_get_window_manager_name (gdk_screen_get_default
());
if (g_ascii_strcasecmp (wm_name, "Xfwm4"))
{
xfce_err (_("These settings cannot work with your current window
manager (%s)"), wm_name);
return;
}
Is imsettings changing the gdk default window manager somehow?
Removing imsettings causes everything to work as normal.

Description of problem:
XIM (X Input Method protocol) is pretty intrusive for Emacs users specially for
SCIM which defaults to using C-Space as its hotkey, and anyway Emacs provides
its own superior builtin input methods designed for native input. I propose
that we turn off XIM by default Emacs for fedora. It can still be enabled by
users using the X resource useXIM.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Emacs with SCIM enabled.
2. Press C-Space
Actual results:
2. SCIM is enabled
Expected results:
2. mark to be set
Additional info:
Emacs is capable of input most major Asian languages adequately by itself and
also can support has package that support anthy, scim-bridge and uim via elisp,
therefore is no need to have XIM enabled by default any longer.

Description of problem:
ibus-setup has checkboxes for started and preload but I think this is too
complicated for most used and they should just be merged into one option for
simplicity since that is generally what one wants. Maybe a start/stop toggle
button could be added instead of started if it is useful - that would make the
UI much clearer anyway: then selecting an engine should probably start it
automatically and users could stop it temporarily if necessary by clicking on
toggle state button.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to engines setup to choose engines
Actual results:
two sets of confusing checkboxes
Expected results:
single checkbox per engine
Additional info:
Being able to start/stop engines dynamically from the setup is a nice feature.

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #466657 +++
Description of problem:
key input too faster and too much messes up IBus.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ibus-0.1.1.20081006-3.fc10
Steps to Reproduce:
1.input something too much and too faster
2.
3.
Actual results:
discarding the key event or return the same key event regardless of what
pressing/releasing the key.
Expected results:
should works expectedly.
Additional info:
Technically it happens when multiple XIM_FORWARD_EVENT is added to the property
when the key event is delivered faster than processing it in IBus. and when
it's there more than 4 in the property, it results the same output regardless
of what you are pressing/releasing the key. otherwise the key event is
discarded.
Why it returns the same key event when the property has something more than 4,
IMdkit is getting the value from the property wrongly. a quote from man page:
int XGetWindowProperty(Display *display, Window w, Atom property, long
long_offset, long long_length, Bool delete, Atom reg_type, Atom
*actual_type_return, int *actual_format_return, unsigned long
*nitems_return, unsigned long *bytes_after_return, unsigned char
**prop_return);
...
long_length
Specifies the length in 32-bit multiples of the data to be
retrieved.
and XGetWindowProperty won't delete the property value even if "delete" is
True, when there are still unread data.
To do the right thing, read the data with the proper length to not discard the
event. and if there are still the unread data in the property, read next data
with "long_offset".

test code for output the same result regardless of the key
% gcc scim_repeat.c `pkg-config --cflags --libs gtk+-2.0 gio-2.0`
% GTK_IM_MODULE=xim XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM ./a.out
After pressing the button, "abc" should be put to the entry box. but actual
result is "aaaaaa". this testing code is sending KeyPress and KeyRelease events
for "a", "b" and "c". and usually GTK+ and other toolkits doesn't take any
actions for KeyRelease event. thus, this means SCIM sends back the forward
event for "a" with KeyPress 6 times.

XICATTRIBUTE is defined as:

n value

So:
attribute ID CARD16 0xcf
value length n 0
There are 2 bad packets here. one is, the value length is 0. on this session,
attribute ID 0xcf means filterEvents, which the value type is CARD32. so the
value length has to be 4. and another one is, the byte length of ic-attribute
is wrong.

Subject: ugly greek letter m (U+03BC) in liberation sans regular
Date: Fri, 21 Nov 2008 20:54:11 +0200
Package: ttf-liberation
Version: 1.04.92-1
Severity: normal
After updating to version 1.04.92-1 the character μ (U+03BC, GREEK
SMALL LETTER MU) appears ugly
when using Liberation Sans.
When using Liberation Sans Bold, Italic and all the variants of
Liberation Serif and Mono, μ appears OK.
You can see the problem in GNOME Character Map, when using Liberation
Sans as GNOME's default
application font and in Firefox.
I am attaching a small html to demonstrate the problem:

Summary: Discarding the key events and same output regardless of the key

Summary: Discarding the key events and same output regardless
of the key
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Component: scim
AssignedTo: shawn.p.huang(a)gmail.com
ReportedBy: tagoh(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: petersen(a)redhat.com, shawn.p.huang(a)gmail.com,
fedora-i18n-bugs(a)redhat.com
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
key input too faster and too much messes up SCIM.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
scim-1.4.7-34.fc10
Steps to Reproduce:
1.input something too much and too faster
2.
3.
Actual results:
discarding the key event or return the same key event regardless of what
pressing/releasing the key.
Expected results:
should works expectedly.
Additional info:
Technically it happens when multiple XIM_FORWARD_EVENT is added to the property
when the key event is delivered faster than processing it in SCIM. and when
it's there more than 4 in the property, it results the same output regardless
of what you are pressing/releasing the key. otherwise the key event is
discarded.
Why it returns the same key event when the property has something more than 4,
IMdkit is getting the value from the property wrongly. a quote from man page:
int XGetWindowProperty(Display *display, Window w, Atom property, long
long_offset, long long_length, Bool delete, Atom reg_type, Atom
*actual_type_return, int *actual_format_return, unsigned long
*nitems_return, unsigned long *bytes_after_return, unsigned char
**prop_return);
...

If at all possible, please pull in updated translations from GNOME SVN. I'm
using the Finnish translation (fi.po) and the po file shipped with Fedora 10's
gdm-2.24.0-12.fc10.i386 has only 182 messages when
http://l10n.gnome.org/POT/gdm.HEAD/gdm.HEAD.fi.po has 241 messages.
There's also a translation bug fixed in the current fi.po. "Restart" was
translated incorrectly into Finnish as "Restart GDM". That has been fixed in
GNOME SVN.

Hello,
I'm able to confirm that this bug about inconsistent settings in the
/etc/sysconfig tree is still present in the *official* release of Fedora 10,
somewhere between preupgrade and anaconda.
Please follow the following steps to verify (I've experienced this personally
on a number of machines running F9):
1. Take a pre-F10 Fedora system (stock install), in default runlevel 3;
2. Using the standard tools in Gnome's System menu, configure the keyboard for
Romanian. The file /etc/sysconfig keyboard will now contain the line:
KEYTABLE="ro_win"
3. Using preupgrade-cli, ask system to upgrade to "Fedora 10 (Cambridge)";
official repositories content as in the state of November 28, 2008.
4. First stage of preupgrade will perform smoothly.
5. Reboot.
6. After reboot, preupgrade will try to start anaconda.
7. Just before the first graphics screen, upgrade will exit unexpectedly
(system will offer the possibility to reboot); the presence of "ro_win" in the
above line, which is now "unknown", is explicitly invoked as the reason of
failure;
8. Reboot system, entering in the the old version of distro (functional).
9. Modify system's keyboard setting to "English (US)", using the standard tools
in the System menu;
10. Reboot again; try to resume preupgrade.
11. Upgrade will fail again, for the same reason as in step 7.
Thanks,
Răzvan

This message is a reminder that Fedora 8 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 8. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '8'.
Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 8's end of life.
Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 8 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.
Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.
The process we are following is described here:

i think someone planted a weird bug deep in fedora which causes various weird
behaviors. for another example, when i move my mouse on one of the three GNOME
menus (Applications, Places, System), the GNOME Terminal launcher icon on the
same panel will automatically be brightened. i'm using ubuntu + Aurora Leopard
BSM theme now and it's a lot more normal...

I have seen this behavior during F-9, but I am unable to reproduce it on F-10
with pidgin-2.5.2-1. Are you using pidgin-2.5.2?

Summary: Explicit uid 39 requested by Canna even Canna user is NOT listed within uidgid setup file
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=471732
Summary: Explicit uid 39 requested by Canna even Canna user is
NOT listed within uidgid setup file
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: high
Priority: medium
Component: Canna
AssignedTo: tagoh(a)redhat.com
ReportedBy: ovasik(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: tagoh(a)redhat.com, fedora-i18n-bugs(a)redhat.com
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
Canna claims explicit uid 39 without listing Canna user within oficial uidgid
file. This could cause troubles when uid 39 is already in use on the system. Is
there any need for that explicit uid 39? If so, it should have been requested
to be added into uidgid file in setup package(no such requested filled in
bugzilla so far).
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. See /usr/share/doc/setup-*/uidgid
Actual results:
No Canna user within uidgid file
Expected results:
Canna user within uidgid file OR Canna user WITHOUT explicit uid request.
Additional info:
Just for your info, I'm setup package maintainer and there is very few number
of uid/gids left under 100. Recently was requested to add audio and video group
to Fedora, I have chosen two gid numbers - and one of those was 39 ... so
without my initiative and google search for possible usage of this uid/gid it
would have been taken without any warning and canna will be no longer running
correctly. Please let me know if this explicit requirement is really needed
(and canna user should be added to uidgid file - or if that uidgid number could
be used (and explicit number uid 39 could be removed from canna))

> Well, python-enchant needs enchant to build, which is not branched for EL-5.
> That's the reason python-enchant is not built.
It seems that enchant has been built but python-enchant remains unbuilt.
For now I've removed the dependency in translate-toolkit see:
http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/rpms/translate-toolkit/EL-5/translate-
toolkit.spec?r1=1.12&r2=1.13
The consequence is that spell checking in the pofilter tests will not work. The
Toolkit already handles a missing python-enchant, so no problems expected.
We can reenable python-enchant support when EL-5 packages get built.

This is probably not an issue that Docs should be deciding, but as I recall,
when we knew that Firefox was going to change behavior some time back, the
winning argument was that we shouldn't work extra hard to make people who are
offline think they're not.
I guess you could make a case for a fallback start page that says "You're
offline," but someone would have to do some targeted testing to make sure that
page didn't persist to the point it was misinforming the user.
I'd like to know what the cacheless situation is, but I'm not in a position to
test tonight...

Because of my findings (below), I wonder if this content truly is obsolete.
Currently, in Fedora 9:
* Seamonkey defaults to /usr/share/doc/HTML/index.html
* Firefox loads "start.fp.o" from cache, in my instance the CSS is missing
** The CSS is pulled via HTTP
** If switched to work offline, it throws an "Address not found" error
*** This is actually an ugly experience, v. throwing up the index*.html files
** When switched back to work online, it shows the start.fp.o (without CSS)
** What does it do when the cache is empty? Haven't been able to test that.
*** E.g., Ctrl+Shift+r(eload) continues to pull up the CSS-less start page
So, for every instance where there is not an Internet connection, the
experience is ugly for the user. I understand that the original intention of
start.fp.o was that it would take care of the 80% situation, most people would
be connected, etc. But this is an ugly 20% to leave behind.

Moving components so this doesn't get missed in F11 time frame. Since it's not
hurting anything, it's not a disaster, but this content *is* obsolete and
really needs to be removed.

I think in order to make uniform access of zwj/zwnj in inscript keymaps as

If there is only one japanese locale by all means just test on "ja-jp" (without
the contains bit). IIRC that was the locale format that worked for the Chinese
people.
However, as always with fontconfig, it's a good idea to test before pushing the
rules on users.

No. maybe better testing "jp" or do you prefer ja-jp (or ja_jp? dunno) rather
than that?

Oh, right. didn't catch it sorry.
Are there so many japanese locales out there you can not use the full ja-FOO
code? Because this test will trigger on any locale that contains ja (for
example javanese, if fontconfig ever moves to iso639-2 or iso15924)
(don't know if this is a big risk, I think this was a long-term fontconfig
plan, Behdad would know)

I meant to say we should have 3 separate packages
because we have 3 upstream packages
kacst: is from different author
while arabeyes-core and arabeyes-decorative have different license (the first
is GPLed and the second is OFL)
Nicolas Mailhot proposed that each font should be split into a different
package
so at least we need 3 different source rpms because we have three upstreams
they later can be split using some macro into final rpm

Hi, as per community discussions, we think it will be good to have ZWJ and ZWNJ
in position
z/Z respectively in Inscript keymap layout.
The reason we want to go for it is because these keys are most frequently used
in English
key-map and currently have no characters in them. It will be quite simpler for
the end user
to use them in practice.
Beside that, these keys are used in combination with halanth (U+0B4D), and the
current
position of the same is 'd'. So it makes sense to have the JWZ/JWNJ in the
position of z/Z.
Can this issue be addressed and we can submit a patch for the next version?
Suggestions?

I meant in template file :) Though it may be not worth taking an effort for you
because it's going to be EOL'd soon. BTW just noticed that I can't see any
annotations on the template page. I had to do the view source to see. dunno if
it's a problem on my browser, or mediawiki's bug.

Summary: imsettings does not respect ~/.xinputrc in KDE
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Component: imsettings
AssignedTo: tagoh(a)redhat.com
ReportedBy: petersen(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: tagoh(a)redhat.com, fedora-i18n-bugs(a)redhat.com
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
When running KDE imsettings seems to ignore ~/.xinputrc and always startup IM.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
imsettings-0.105.1-1.fc10
How reproducible:
every time
Steps to Reproduce:
1. login to rawhide KDE
2. run imsettings-info
3. run im-chooser and toggle IM state.
4. start a new
Actual results:
1. SCIM is running (irrespective of session locale)
2. imsettings-info says "No IM running."
4. SCIM runs even if ".xinputrc -> none.conf".

If you could convince spot to publish this on his "licenses approved for fonts
use" wiki page, that would make it easier for the next reviewers. Anyway

Nice. You just need to remove the : before Category to activate them (fixed, I
must rework the template help, everyone makes the same mistake)

Ultimately, Behdad is the best judge of us all on fontconfig stuff.

Nope, the rule I referenced would have been
<alias>
<family>HanaMin</family>
<default>
<family>serif</family>
</default>
</alias>
The rule you added is equivalent to the one you already had, without the ja
test.
The fun thing is that your original rule needs to be placed after
conf.d/65-nonlatin.conf to work, and your second rule needs to be placed
before, so you can't use both in the same file :p
Thus I'd advise to
1. keep your original rule
2. add the one I just wrote
3. use 66 as fontconfig prio
4. test test test

It's documented in the comments nobody seems to read :) I'll drop it as soon as
Fedora 8 in un-supported.

I'd like to push this font prior to sazanami-mincho.ttf which we defaults for
Serif for Japanese, because the quality is better than it. I'm not sure what's
the right thing to do that for fontconfig config. that would be appreciated if
someone could helps me.

Alsadi, as I stated on the list (and in this review) we do not do superpackages
in Fedora, so if you want to propose spec files you need to propose one spec
per font (ie 3 spec files), not a single spec that packages three different
upstream archives in one go

Since nobody bites, I'll take this. First review pass
1. you're packaging a font with a new license. While at first view it seems ok,
you still need spot to approve it and put it on
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal_considerations_for_fonts
2. please follow the font packaging process outlined on
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Font_package_lifecycle
and in particular create a wiki page that describes your font and can be
referenced in release notes
(a wiki page template is available there
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Font_description_template )
3. your fontconfig priority (59) is a little low, our guidelines states CJK
fonts should be in the 65-69 range
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fontconfig_packaging_tips#Simple_priority_lis…
Of course Behdad has the last say on this, so if you convince him to ok it I'll
let this pass.
4. your fontconfig rule is a bit more convoluted than what we usually do. It
probably works but please get Behdad to review it (and ok it there).
5. please also alias the font the other way, so fontconfig knows it should use
serif fonts to complete HanaMin
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fontconfig_packaging_tips#Generic_names
6. please send your fontconfig file to hanazano upstream so it's included in
their next release once you're happy with it
7. you can drop the -f argument to fc-cache for releases ≥ Fedora 9
8. please use the defattr suggested by guidelines %defattr(644,root,root,755)
9. it's a little easier to review a package when the fields are in the same
order as in rpmdevtool's spectemplate-fonts.spec (cosmetic, you can ignore it,
just take it into account for your next font package)
All in all this was a pleasant spec file to review and I'll have no problem
approving it once those little problems are taken care of
→ NEEDINFO in the meanwhile

BTW if the problem is that the current macros used in this package want to take
a single font file as argument, then the subpackaging macro I wrote in dejavu
yesterday could be used instead.
I must admit I was thinking very hard about the un font packages when I wrote
them.

Hi, I have FAS account and I would love to co-maintain this package for fedora
as my first fedora package
we need 3 font packages
1. KACST
2. core
3. decorative
http://www.arabeyes.org/project.php?proj=Khotot
as you case see they are already split by upstream
http://cvs.arabeyes.org/viewcvs/art/khotot/
KACST is not developed by Arabeyes thus they need its own super package
while core and decorative should be two subpackages of the same package
the core fonts are missing the best font which is simplified naskhi, which can
be downloaded from Araveyes fonts team leader and the designer of the fonts
http://www.khaledhosny.org/filebrowser
KACST's fonts are released under GPLv1
the decorative fonts are GPLv2 and the core fonts are OFL licensed
I'll attach my .spec file

Please do not wait for OLPC to respond. Our packaging standards are higher than
theirs, any any font package that passed Fedora review will just the OLPC
package next time they rebase on a new Fedora version.
Just do the requested fixes, so we can have a clean Fedora package OLPC can be
referred to.

I tested again and it still works for me. Here is what I did:
1) install F10-Preview or rawhide x86_64
2) boot, login, and turn on scim with im-chooser
3) yum remove gedit.x86_64
4) yum install gedit.i386 (note scim-bridge-gtk.i386 is not installed)
5) run gedit and try to use scim (can't use xim)
6) sed -i -e s/"ko:ja:th:zh"/"*"/ /etc/gtk-2.0/*/gtk.immodules
7) run gedit again (xim works for scim)
(7) seems an improvement on (5)

I'm not really understand the fontconfig with Pango and Qt.
But I think the default settings for Qt/KDE on Fedora is not as good as for
GTK/GNOME. And I really understand international for Qt is not as good as GTK.

BTW: Why fonts for Qt/KDE with LANG=zh_CN.UTF8 had been change, which config
file will make this happen? Thanks.

I don't know how you tested it though, this is a Mincho typeface, which is
similar to serif. so usually you don't see that on the desktop by default so
that most applications defaults sans-serif or monospace.

I have my reasons to believe that it is not xorg-x11* (with possible exception
of XIM) but it might be imsettings -- difference between *im* tools is slightly
blurry for me.

Ah that is for autopoint which moved to the base package.
Fixed in cvs so next build should get it.
Thanks for spotting and reporting it.

I found it's not easy make all happy...
For QT4/KDE4 with my config in LANG=en_US.UTF8 on my PC, English fonts look
fine , Chinese fonts look fine. But if the "not_eq"s have gone, the English
fonts would NOT with antialias, but why the GTK/GNOME apps would get the fonts
to be with "antialias"?
It looks that the config does not effect the GTK/GNOME apps.

Because that workaround is just needed for KDE only. modifying xinput.sh itself
affects to others and there are no way to know which desktop is currently
running.

Why isn't xinput.sh sufficient for this in F9 currently?

Modified .conf from Baif's.
(Reopened for Baif's proposed .conf)
I have slightly modified Baif's proposed .conf to using only "eq". This might
be able to reduce effects to global settings.
Welcome for more discussion.

AFAIK, cjkunifonts shouldn't use any not_eq in its .conf file because this
might probably overrides global settings. The global settings are managed as
whole but not this package. Even it tested working we aren't appropriate to
include. Cheers.

(In reply to comment #9)
Qt does load the input method plugin lazily when the focus moves to the input
widget first time.
Also, the original problem mentions a crash:
> Also
> clicking exit on the scim icon owned by root (my guess) causes plasma and many
> apps in KDE to crash.
That sounds like the application uses scim instead of scim-bridge. At least I
can reproduce a crash when using scim and closing the scim-panel tray icon, but
that doesn't happen with scim-bridge.
So it needs to be checked if qt applications use the same input method - it
might be that kdm uses scim and other qt apps use scim-bridge which might
explain multiple instances of scim.

Actually it would be brilliant to be able to use the Postscript Type 1 font in
/usr/share/cups/fonts/Courier* for this, but I'm not sure what is needed to
make that happen.
Obviously it won't have a complete UTF-8 glyph set, but with correct fontconfig
configuration I expect it will fall back to Nimbus Mono L/Liberation Mono for
those glyphs.

Yes... You're right.
Because I don't know why without the "not_eq"-s the rest of configs do NOT
work...
I had mail the config to Caius Carlos CHANCE <cchance(a)redhat.com>, hope he
could get it work.
