Bug ID: 2312891
Summary: liberation-fonts doesn't gets auto-replaced with
liberation-fonts-all on F40 -> F41 upgrade
Product: Fedora
Version: 41
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Component: liberation-fonts

Classification: Fedora
When upgrading from Fedora Silverbue 40 to Fedora Silverblue 41,
liberation-fonts wasn't properly replaced with liberation-fonts-all, causing
dependency issues
I managed to fix it manually but ideally it should have been replaced
automatically.
The dependency error message (which I didn't copy as I had borken terminal due
to a separate GTK issue) basically seemed to be from liberation-fonts rewuiring
specific versions of the sans, serif and mono fonts, preventing their upgrades.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade from F40 to F41 Beta with liberation-fonts installed
2. Check for dependency slving issues
3.
Actual Results:
Dependency issues on Fedorea Silveblue 41
Expected Results:
No issues
Interestingly the problem only appeared on my first transaction after the F41
rebase

I am on Fedora 40. It's a Cinnamon installation, but I have also Budgie, GNOME

To diagnose the problem, try running: 'rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest'.
You probably have corrupted RPMDB, running 'rpm --rebuilddb' might fix the
issue.
The downloaded packages were saved in cache until the next successful

You can remove cached packages by executing 'dnf clean packages'

1.run sudo dnf upgrade --refresh
2.reboot
3.run sudo dnf system-upgrade --best download --releasever=41
Actual Results:
upgrade fails due to dependency conflicts

upgrade should succeed
