The ChromeOS fonts may have the support you want, and look very similar to Liberation... Arimo and Tinos, http://code.google.com/p/googlefontdirectory/source/browse
Thank you Dave Crossland for your interest, but those fonts don't even have support for Cyrillic script! I've just tested them all in XeLaTex. Back to my proposal, is it possible for you to do so in the foreseeable future? Thank you.
