Product and version number: Fedora 1
Desktop environment and version number: GNOME with default installment of Fedora 1. NO XIM backend.
Short description of observation: After following Yong Li's advice of editting htt.conf, it works fine now.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): iiimf-protocol-lib-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-client-lib-devel-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-gtk-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-client-lib-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-server-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-protocol-lib-devel-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-le-unit-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-x-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-csconv-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-docs-11.4-1.FC1.2 iiimf-le-hangul-11.4-1.FC1.2
How reproducible: Always(3 / 3 success)
Steps to Reproduce:
GNOME Test Environment: Works fine.
1. Works fine.
2. Does the cursor move on the screen when you press the SPACE bar when no text is entered? Yes.
Does the cursor move when text is entered? Yes, it does.
Does the cursor move to the next line when you press ENTER? Yes.
Does the screen display the text after you press ENTER? Yes.
3. Does the input area of the LE clear the text when it is turned off and on? No, it doesn't. But this seems natural to Hangul(Hangul doesn't use commit, does it? And partial characters are characters too in hangul.)
4. What appears on the screen? The typed characters. Also Adding and deleting characters in the middle of a line works as normal.
Additional info:
I don't know if you still accept the test, but It's now working so I thought I might as well post the results. The /usr/lib/im/htt.conf was the culprit. And restarting the IImf server in the middle of typing doesn't mess up the system either. Great job!
