What if we can offer a "Tiling Window Manager Spin" (we can come up with a
better name) and then let the user choose X11 or Wayland?

I don't think that it would be too much work once we have the i3 spin,
but it _is_ work that has to be done. There were proposals for a sway
spin in the past, but we (= the sway SIG) didn't have the manpower to
tackle that. Depending on how the i3 spin goes, this could change
though.
