I had distributed total 50 no. of Live CD and installable DVDs Fedora 13.
Discussed what are the different application available with open source and
around 20 minutes hands on how to use Live CDs.
Few of them are interested to have open source workshop / hands on for their
faculties and for student also.
As they are eager to implement some open source solutions at their college.
I hope this will create good initiative for open source.

XAMPP in Fedora 13
by Mahesh Mohan
Hi Folks,
I installed XAMPP from http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-linux.html and
installed as directed. But, after that, when I started it,
"XAMPP: Couldn't start MySQL!" message comes up. I googled a bit, and found
that SELinux is the problem. SO, I disabled it by changing the
SELINUX=enforcing to SELINUX=permissive in /etc/selinux/config . But, the
problem remains. As SELinux is causing a lot of problems, I tried to remove
it by yum, but it will remove lot of other packages. So, what to do?
Can anyone suggest any method to run XAMPP(I also tried this
http://www.vectorns.com/blog/19-running-xampp-on-fedora-with-selinux-enabled)
with SELinux running or how to remove it wthout affecting other packages?

[FAD] Autotools workshop
by Siddhesh Poyarekar
Hi,
I will be conducting a workshop on autotools this coming Saturday at
the FAD, as mentioned in the wiki. I wanted to know if anyone has any
C project in mind that they would like autotoolized. I can model my
workshop based on that project. A good example would be some code
which has subdirectories and requires an external library. If it has
some documentation, it will be perfect.
If there are no suggestions, I will have to choose one of the packages
I have already autotoolized or maybe build an example myself.
