Hi,
Some trouble with Fedora installations. I've never had any trouble on my
system and therefore am not well versed with what may be going wrong.

Yes, I have seen that.
But I think Sayamindu's suggestion to automatically route the traffic
to community pages is a nice one and I was talking with respect to
that.

Announcing loki-0.11 release
by Ankur Sinha
hey all,
We had shortly discussed an app that notifies the user of a new comic
strip at the recent FAD. I got down to it last week and have come up
with a release. I call it "loki"[1]. It's really raw right now. It uses
libcurl and libconfig to read from a conf file and check for the
availability of a new comic strip. It does this by comparing the stored
previous issue time stamp with the "Last-modified" tag of the HTTP
header returned by the site's rss feed.
I haven't incorporated the notification area pop up and auto checking
yet. Its on my TODO list for the next release.
The app is "Autotoolized". Thanks Siddhesh for the workshop and links
later to get me started.
You can get the tars here[2]
Please give it a try. Feedback is more than welcome.
Thanks,
regards,
Ankur

Fedora Ambassador mentor
by Rahul Sundaram
Hi,
I would like to step down from my role as a Fedora mentor for
Ambassadors and let someone else take over since I haven't had much time
to do a good job of it lately. If you are interested, let me know here
or offlist and I will forward conversations/names to Fedora Ambassadors
Steering Committee. They will have final say. Thanks.

[X post] recoll review request help : using modified versions of libraries for build
by Ankur Sinha
hi,
I'd like to confirm if I can approve recoll[1] which uses some build
deps that it ships in the tar itself. Namely, "unac" and "binc imap".

AFAIK, these need to be packaged separately and then used as BRs.
However, the modifications made for use in the package make it a little
complex.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Ankur
