Anecdote of one (at least from someone who has attended a few such
events at this cafe chain) is that Starbucks is generally receptive to
the idea of a small group meeting regularly. The calendar invite is
reminiscent of how various clubs have a regular schedule including
date and location.

Actually, I believe there is a very strong reason to have it at other
places. To be able to organize meetups at locations which involve the
various themes/workloads where Fedora adoption and awareness can be
raised is a good thing to do. Organizing every single meet at a Red
Hat office would encourage a system of monoculture. It may or, may not
be a good thing as we are trying to do outreach to new communities
(via SIGs and such) as well as new participants.
The meetups should not be centralized to a single location like Red
Hat as there are people coming from various parts of the city. It's
good to move the meetup around the city.
As the crowd was low and the mainly concentrated in Koramangala and
Indiranagar, we chose meetup location in either of these two places
and not only Starbucks. I remember doing it in Hasgeek and HackerEarth
office couple of times. One of reason of choosing Starbucks was to
keep the meetups informal.
Sound and pragmatic moves.
