Introduction
by Jeff Tomasek
Greetings,
I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Jeff, and I just
joined the subscriber list. I am a long time Systems Administrator for a
local newspaper, and currently just starting to get into developing with
open source. Ive been a user of Fedora for several years now, and figured I
would venture into something to try as learn as much as I can.
I appologize in advance if I happen to do do something wrong in the near
future, as I am still learning. Anyway, its good to join, and im looking
forward my time here.

Introduction
by Frank Langbridge
Hello
Well it has been about 6 months coming but here is my introduction
email. My name is Frank and I have been working with redhat/fedora since
redhat 4. I subscribed to this list and then had to work away a lot and
didnt get chance to actively do anything. I am now in a better position
to offer some help. I am a RHCE and mainly now work in consultancy
advising on enterprise level systems. I would ideally like to get
involved with puppet and understand how that works. I have worked for
ISP's in the past and may ideally be suited to join the hosted FIG and
the releng FIG to get some puppet experience.

[PATCH 0/4] Misc. improvements for fedora-mailing-list-setup script
by Todd Zullinger
I did this a few months back and then got sidetracked with other tasks and
never pushed them. With the lists migrated to lists.fp.o now (thanks to Dennis
and Jon), I was reminded about these potential improvements.
These changes could use a quick sanity check from those who use the script more
often than I to ensure that they look reasonable. If so, I'll push them. The
last patch in the series simply syncs configs/mailman/fedora-mailing-list-setup
with modules/mailman/files/fedora-mailing-list-setup. We probably ought to
convert everything to the module version at some point to avoid having two
copies.
I started this because I wanted to further improve a gitsetup.py script I've
got on hosted and wanted to be able to create lists without having to stop and
answer questions from fedora-mailing-list-setup. :)
Todd Zullinger (4):
mailman: Improve fedora-mailing-list-setup error when mailman's not
installed
mailman: Catch ctrl-c in fedora-mailing-list-setup
mailman: Parse arguments to fedora-mailing-list-setup
mailman: Sync setup script from configs/ to module
configs/mailman/fedora-mailing-list-setup | 65 +++++++++++++++-------
modules/mailman/files/fedora-mailing-list-setup | 63 +++++++++++++++-------

introduction
by Bert Desmet
Hi,
My name is Bert Desmet, and I would like to help somewhat in the
infrastructure team. I know the Fedora project already a bit as I am an
ambassador for about a year now. You can find some useful info about me
here: fedoraproject.org/wiki/user:Biertie
So, I am a student, and I am eager to learn more about system
administration. The things I already know is from testing on my fedora
machines, and my centos server. So I know the basics from some things. I
am especially interested in getting to know the tools used to keep a
professional infrastructure running -something they don't learn you at
school-
if you have any questions about me, or you want to suggest something,
you can find me a lot on irc, or via the mailing lists off course.
best regards,
Bert Desmet

Goals for F13?
by Mike McGrath
So F13 is underway, we should get our list of F13 goals together. So what
would you like to see (and will be working on) for F13?
For example, I know Jon and Dennis are working on the mail man migration.
The major features include:
1) Getting virt_web into Fedora
2) download.fedoraproject.org (based on boot.kernel.org)
3) AutoQA (I'm mostly a support role here for the QA team)
4) Fedora Insight (With marketing team)
Minor updates:
1) Replace /mnt/koji (with dennis)
2) Replace the blade center (with a new one)
3) Puppet cleanup (and module publication)
I figure that averages out to more than one important thing per month +
all the day to day stuff, that'll keep me busy :) Oh, and as always help
wanted for those who have time.
What does everyone else have?

Review Board
by Mike McGrath
I've had a couple of requests for this come up recently:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/1196
It's unassigned at the moment. I'm fine with running it on fedorahosted
provided the following requirements get met.
1) It doesn't see high load. I have no idea how review board does what it
does, but hosted1 is already pretty overloaded (had an outage last night
just from that). While I'd expect the review board to be low traffic and
low resource hog I have no idea.
2) What are the storage requirements for this?
Anyone out there with experience and are inclined to get this in hosted?
Is this something that would be better on one of our collab servers or
does it actually have to integrate with hosted somehow?
