BFO menu suggestion?
by Gregory Woodbury
Would it be possible to add the FC13 Branched repository to the install
menus of the BFO defaults? I do a F13 branched install by selecting
FC13 Beta and retyping lots of the info in the options, it would help a
lot to have the development repos in some option, perhaps under the
experimental items?

Hi all. Just letting you know that I will be poking my head around here for
a bit. I have an intrest in being a part of the great work that you guys are
doing. I will probably lay low for a while to see how everything works. In

Hello Everyone
by Abhishek Bose
Hi,
I am Abhishek Bose from India.I have been using Fedora since Fedora 10
(pretty new in the group I guess). I am a Redhat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
and working in Redhat Linux, Solaris, Netbackup since last 2.5 years but my
main area of focus is Redhat Linux. I am working for a company as a Linux
Admin where I have to build and maintain servers along with several
applications running on it. I would like to participate in developing and
helping in Fedora whenever and wherever possible.
Best Regards,
Abhishek Bose

Trip to PHX
by Mike McGrath
I'll be headed to Phoenix next week to install some new servers and a
blade center. This is smack dab in the middle of our freeze. I'm going
to try my best to honor that but if I need to power down a host to move it
or reboot something I'll make sure to submit the change requests.
Going through my todo list I've only got 6 physical hosts to move none of
which are considered frozen. (current xen2 is going to become bxen4, the
other 5 are all QA boxes which are going to be moved into the cloud rack.
The QA hosts aren't actually in use so they're not frozen either)

Newcomer - Hello world!
by Rick Elrod
Hello everyone, my name is Ricky Elrod, and I am looking to participate in an open source project that allows me to use my knowledge of networking and programming, and is a good community to work with. After doing some reading, the fedora infrastructure team looks like the place for me. I am a senior in high school, and already registered at a local university (The University of Akron) to major in Computer Science in Fall of this year (immediately after high school).
In high school, I participated in a Cisco class which gave me knowledge of networking concepts, such as dealing with Cisco-specific technologies, along with general networking, such as subnetting. In the programming world, I know quite a few scripting languages, such as PHP, Python, and Perl, and I am currently learning my first compiled language, Java. In the future I plan on learning C and C++, as time permits. I am active on IRC under the nick CodeBlock, on freenode and a few other networks, such as slashnet, and a small network I help administrate, Ninthbit.
mmcgrath is willing to sponsor me, after I spoke to him on IRC. He listed a few FIGs in need of help, and I would like to join sysadmin-hosted, and help out with fedorahosted.
Any other questions, just ask! I look forward to working with everyone.

Weird spammy domain
by Paul W. Frields
Spot and I received some reports about the fedorproject.org site. We
referred this to Red Hat's legal department, and they're looking into
it. However, given the site's origin it may take a while to see any
effects from that work.
What technical steps might we want to take with regard to this site in
the meantime? I would feel comfortable with the Infrastructure team
doing whatever they deem appropriate to protect our users or potential
users, to whatever extent we can.
