Updating SSL keys on fedorahosted.org
by Stephen John Smoogen
Various SSL keys are aging out so we will be updating them before anyone
gets a <This CERT is not valid.> page.
The first server to be updated will be fedorahosted.org.
The old certificate came from Equifax, was a 1024 bit key and had the
fingerprint:
SHA1 Fingerprint=CC:64:67:BE:90:50:79:ED:23:E8:C1:18:02:AB:AC:83:88:FC:6C:D8
The new certificate is issued by GeoTrust, Inc and is a 4096 bit key
with the fingerprint:
SHA1 Fingerprint=D1:54:82:77:77:F9:11:DF:E0:B1:14:37:B9:36:E2:09:20:B6:54:1D
Please report any problems with these certificates to

[Fwd: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender] - mail address ncmpcpp-owner@fedoraproject.org missing
by Dominic Hopf
Hey guys,
just got that mail (see below). Is this an issue someone of you maybe
should take care of? :)
Some additional info: I just took the ownership of the ncmpcpp package.
It was orphaned before, not sure for how long.
Regards,
Dominic

Well, the infrastructure team runs TurboGears, which provides the captcha :)
I just tried signing up for an account (jds2001testcaptcha) and was
successful in getting past the captcha. I think that the first letter
in the one that was attached was an O, not a C as input by the user
(though I could see the C interpretation as well).

Lost access to retrace01 machine
by Michal Toman
Hi,
after changing my (mtoman) FAS password and SSH key, I'm not able to SSH
retrace01.fedoraproject.org anymore (pubkey, password). Login to
fedorapeople and fedorahosted works correctly. Could you look at the
problem and possibly renew my access?
Thanks,
Michal

Hello,
my fedoraproject.org account is: tlestach
My Roles are:
* Signed CLA Group (user)
* Fedora CLA Group (user)
* Spacewalk Git Commit Group (administrator)
When I try to upload a tar.gz to fedorahosted.org:spacewalk, I get:
$ scp /tmp/tito/spacewalk-backend-1.3.20.tar.gz fedorahosted.org:spacewalk
Permission denied (publickey).
lost connection
According to https://fedorahosted.org/web/faq, I shall have just a
fedoraproject account and a CLA, what I have.
I'm sure, my public key is correct, because I'm a member of one of the
Git Commit Groups and I have no trouble with committing, where the
public key get's verified.
Is there something I miss?
Regards,
Tomas

You can enter your own mirror there, and update your information as needed. Within 2 hours of adding your info to the database, you will start seeing traffic.
If you have any questions, please let us know.

Requirements for us using externally hosted services
by Ricky Zhou
At today's meeting, we started a discussion of what kind of requirements
we should have for moving some services to externally hosted versions
(like Transifex to tx.net or Wordpress blogs to wordpress.com).
Here's are some initial items that we came up with at the meeting.
While it's often still useful to consider these on a case-by-case basis,
let's get a good list of requirements to talk about when looking at
hosted services.
1) Some level of freeness (unclear where we draw the line)
2) Configuration management
3) Backups
4) Ability to get data out
5) authn/authz
6) Level of support (for managed hosting like wordpress/tx)
7) Cost (compared to our own maintenance costs)
Thanks,
Ricky
