Freeze break request: add branched f17 to boot.fedoraproject.org

Greetings. I need to sync up this commit: http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=fedora-infrastructure.git;a=commit;h=0... to secondary01 for boot.fedoraproject.org. It removes some old serverbeach1 links (making them dl.fedoraproject.org), and adds a 'f17 branched' prerelease install option to boot.fedoraproject.org. Impact should be very low. kevin

Fedora 17 Alpha freeze

Greetings. we are now in the infrastructure freeze leading up to the Fedora 17 Alpha release. This is a pre-release freeze. Please see: https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/browser/architecture/Envir... Anything in the Pre Release freeze box is frozen until 2012-02-28 (or later if Alpha slips). This means there should be NO puppet changes to any hosts in there (including global ones) without signoff of the change from at least 2 folks in sysadmin-main and/or release-engineering. [CHANGE REQUEST] Update country-code script on bapp01

On bapp01 we have a script that checks whether the country code that people have in FAS is known to GeoIP. This script runs once a week. The script sends out email if the country code is not known to GeoIP (this happens if we update GeoIP and a previous country code is removed). Hi infrastructure people, i'd like to introduce myself to the group. I'm Christos Triantafyllidis and my irc handle is "ctria". I'm experienced linux admin with expertise in grid middleware and security. I also write code in ruby, perl and bash. As part of my work i'm administrating 2 grid clusters with total of ~ 200 nodes, multiple services including some fedora supported (i.e. a local koji infrastructure). Although the majority of our services is not in Fedora but in Scientific Linux, i'm very glad of the fedora project existence and especially about the EPEL repo existence which many times have saved my day. Why contributing? basically because of the fun of it. But i'd also like to learn some stuff from this co-operation. I'd like to see how other infrastructure teams are organized (especially teams like this with mixed experience levels and totally distributed). I'd also like to see your practices on deploying new services. I haven't looked yet at the list of topics open for contribution, but i'll definitely do it soon.
