Hi, My name's Steven Pepperell. Im looking to join Fedora infrastructure to help out. I'm a unix/Linux systems admin in Glasgow, Scotland (so GMT), I’ve been a sys admin for 8 years. I work mainly with RHEL5/6, monitoring using nagios and scripting with bash and python. I'm joining to get experience of new software and methods and while I know it’s a cliché to give back to Fedora which I’ve used for many many years. I would like to get involved in anything infrastructure design related as my aspiration is to become a technical architect. However I imagine this kind of work needs to be earned first I would like to suggest I start off doing smaller tasks to get the lay of the land, I’ll have a look though the ticket list tonight. I can guarantee 2-4 hours a week but there will be times when this will be less and sometimes more. My IRC handle will be Zen42, I’ll be around in the next infrastructure meeting. See you all then. Actually, I m programming in Python, C and Java. Also I love the computer security and the communication networks (Maybe this years i will do a master about it). I am interested in contributing to Fedora Project because I have used Fedora for 4 years and Fedora is the linux distribuition that I like most, also I like the free software and actually I have enough time to contribute to community and I want to win more experience programming with other people :) I would like to contribute in projects with Python, computer security (PAM for example) and communication networks. Congrats to Patrick and Pierre

I'm happy to announce that I have approved pingou and puiterwijk both into the sysadmin-main group. This is the core group of trusted folks that high level access to most things. Pierre has been a Fedora contributor for a long time and has helped us a great deal with various applications. He's the author of fedocal and recently got it created and deployed. Patrick has been around for over a year and has been very active on both the sysadmin and application development sides. He wrote and implemented our openid application as well as lots of other things. I hope this will allow them both to more easily work on and help out in Fedora. [Ask Fedora] Adding social website info and "interesting tags"

Hi guys, I've enabled two new things on the Ask Fedora staging instance[1]. One of them is the "Interesting tags" setting which we didn't have enabled. This lets you add tags and then quickly filter the page by them. I think this is a good addition and will let folks look for questions quicker. It'll help folks understand the importance of tags. What do you folks think? Should I enable this on production too? The other is the addition of a twitter and google plus follow button in the right side bar. I'm still trying to figure out how to add one for Facebook. I thought I'd put a twitter time line widget, but it makes the page *really* crowded. What do you think about this?
