Plan for tomorrow's Fedora Infrastructure meeting - 2015-09-24

The infrastructure team will be having it's weekly meeting tomorrow, 2015-09-24 at 18:00 UTC in #fedora-meeting on the freenode network. We have a gobby document (see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Gobby ) fedora-infrastructure-meeting-next is the document. Please try and review and edit that document before the meeting and we will use it to have our agenda of things to discuss. A copy as of today is included in this email. If you have something to discuss, add the topic to the discussion area with your name. Fedora 23 Beta Freeze now in effect

Greetings. we are now in the infrastructure freeze leading up to the Fedora 23 Beta release. This is a pre-release freeze. We do this to ensure that our infrastructure is stable and ready to release the Fedora 23 Beta when it's available. You can see a list of hosts that do not freeze by checking out the ansible repo and running the freezelist script: git clone https://infrastructure.fedoraproject.org/infra/ansible.git scripts/freezelist -i inventory Any hosts listed as freezes is frozen until 2015-09-22. (or later if Beta slips). Frozen hosts should have no changes made to them without a sign-off on the change from at least 2 sysadmin-main or rel-eng members, along with (in most cases) a patch of the exact change to be made to this list. Planned Outage: lockbox01 migration to batcave01 - 2015-09-25 16:00 UTC There will be an outage starting at 2015-09-25 16:00 UTC, which will last approximately 2 hours. To convert UTC to your local time, take a look at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/UTCHowto or run: date -d '2015-09-25 16:00 UTC' Reason for outage: We will be migrating our central management host from the old rhel6 based lockbox01 to the new rhel7 based batcave01. For various reasons batcave01 will take over the IP address(es) for lockbox01, so any admin users will need to update their ssh host keys. /home and other data will be synced over to the new host. Affected Services: Koji builders will be disabled for the outage. Submitted builds will process after the outage. (builders use infrastructure.fedoraproject.org for mock root inits). Web resources at infrastructure.fedoraproject.org may be unavailable during the outage. Ansible runs will not be possible during the outage. Services not listed are not affected by this outage. Request for resources: Autocloud

Hi all, I have filed the RFR for Autocloud at https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/4896 Autocloud is the system to automatically test two week atomic images, it will be able to test vagrant images too. The application is already reviewed for Fedora, waiting for the SCM access. The setup instructions have been documented at [1]. I will wait for suggestions and comments here. Red Hat Bugzilla has been upgraded

We expect the hardware upgrade will provide a modest improvement to overall performance and will enable us to make further improvements in the future; with the enhanced operational flexibility in the maintenance of the hardware and software platform. In addition to upgrading the hardware, we have also changed the underlying database from MySQL to PostgreSQL, to further improve performance and handle the increasing workloads that Bugzilla imposes.
