We have a application called fedimg that takes our images and uploads
them to AWS. We have talked about replacing it, but we haven't done so.
However, we now have a request to also upload the ELN images:
Would there be anyone who would like to investigate how to add ElN image
uploads to fedimg? I can do it, but I have a bunch of other things too,
so this might be a nice thing for others to work on to get involved.
For the Fedora Contributor Trends project, Josseline is working on a module
which will gather some information from Fedora Accounts. This needs to
authenticate, and rather than doing it under a human name we'd like to have
a dedicated account. What's the best way to set this up?

A major bug in zchunk-1.1.14 was flagged up to me today. If zchunk-
1.1.14 (on a system with zstd 1.5.0+) is used to create a zck file with
a zdict, the file will be impossible to decompress. Embarrassingly,
the tests weren't testing this combination.
The good news is that this doesn't affect decompression at all, so this
is only a problem for the server that's used to generate the zchunked
metadata, which is using zdicts.
I've just finished building zchunk-1.1.15 which fixes this bug (and
adds tests to make sure it never happens again), but please make sure
that zchunk doesn't get updated to 1.1.14 on the servers that generate
Thanks, and apologies for the inconvenience.
We are in need of a Manager/Overseer to look over a few site/pages rewrites as they are happening. We don't need someone to be more involved than just understanding the Taiga board and tracking the projects progress but more help is also welcome.
The three projects in need of management are:
- Easyfix (re)design review, heuristic evaluation and implementation
- GetFedora design propositions, heuristic evaluation and implementation
- Start f.p.o. revamp design review, heuristic evaluation and implementation (Ashlyn Knox already volunteered for this)
If you have experience or want experience with these projects please let us know and someone on the (reboot of the) Websites and Apps Team will add you as a manager.
Recently a bug was opened to add additional repositories to
MirrorManager for epel-next. One of the problems with adding new
repository definitions to MirrorManager is that the definitions are part
of the code. For each new/changed repository a new release is needed.
I was thinking about changing this for a long time. Have the repository
definition in a configuration file.
During the last months I have been rewriting umdl in Rust after the
first two MirrorManager tools rewritten in Rust proofed to be really
reliable during the last 1.5 years.
The new tool, scan-primary-mirror, is already used in RPM Fusion for a
few weeks and now with the need to have epel-next repositories I
replaced umdl only for EPEL also in Fedora.
So far it seems to work correctly. The epel-next repositories have been
detected and all other metalinks have also been updated correctly.
Please let me know if something around EPEL metalinks is not working as
