Since we're back to more invasive changes I'd like to install the rhel 5.2 beta kernel on xen1 and reboot it. It died today and I suspect this is because of iscsi issues we've seen before (rare, but still happening)

+1, I assume that this might be sometime over the weekend, and we could coordinate with the CVS outage?
