yes, sure. I commit a first set of IPv6 glue for python right now. Please see the new file test_v6.py and/or take a look into the Changelog.
But you need the CVS version of the CAPI.
You have to use
http://geoip.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/geoip/c/
and
http://geoip.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/geoip/python/

Thank you for your work on GeoIP and its python bindings. Now that the C library supports IPv6, and MaxMind publishes an IPv6 database, can you add ipv6 lookup functions to the python binding? I intend to use this in the open source MirrorManager project (http://fedorahosted.org/mirrormanager).
