We've seen lots of CVS swap issues recently, turns out 1G of ram just isn't enough for it even though it's not doing much. I'd like to really tune down what it's doing.
Anyone against me redirecting viewvc/ to pkgs.fedoraproject.org?
-Mike
I personally would redirect with a notice about why they were redirected.

In the case of the kernel, that would make all the kernel history prior to the migration not vieweable via the web, but I suppose that's not a terrible thing, they can still get it from the cli.
Otherwise I don't have an objection.

Actually, it seems that anonymous cvs access is broken:
$ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.fedoraproject.org:/cvs/pkgs co puppet cvs checkout: failed to create lock directory for `/cvs/pkgs/CVSROOT' (/var/lock/cvs/extras/CVSROOT/#cvs.history.lock): Permission denied cvs checkout: failed to obtain history lock in repository `/cvs/pkgs' cvs checkout: Updating puppet cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot make directory /var/lock/cvs/extras/rpms/puppet: Permission denied cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot make directory /var/lock/cvs/extras/rpms/puppet: Permission denied
I just filed this as:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/2325
If that's fixed, then a redirect wouldn't be so bad. :)
