I just noticed that my FAS account has an automatic(?) @fedoraproject.org email address.
Is there an "Inbox" for this or is it just an alias to my "Primary"
account address for privacy, etc.?

The latter. You can set up your email client to send with that
address, and mail received will be forwarded to your registered email
address.

a test msg. So, if I understand correctly, it is non-deliverable from the outside world
and can simply be used as the "From:" address in my MUA?

No, people are supposed to be able to send you mail with that address,
the Red Hat MTA would just auto-forward it to your email address.

The account listed in previous emails is currently only a member of
the base groups: Approved Groups: cla_done cla_fpca . Aliases are
added only after you have been accepted into another group.

I never could connect my e-mail aliases into my account because I get
receive a message "Please relogin into your account after change security
policy with link to disabled it". I disabled Two-steps atutentication and
give authorize no trust apps signin into my account...
So, I never could do aliases. I'm in translation and ambassadors groups as
approved member.

All an email alias does is the following:
You email smooge(a)fedoraproject.org
That email goes to the fedora servers
Those servers translate smooge(a)fedoraproject.org to smooge(a)gmail.com
Those servers send that email to smooge(a)gmail.com
I get the email in my gmail.com address.
It doesn't allow me to login to gmail with smooge(a)fedoraproject.org
nor does it allow me to use smooge(a)fedoraproject.org to get email from
google. I still have to pull my email as smooge(a)gmail.com. This is
because Google does not 'own' or 'control' a fedoraproject.org domain
to do so.
If there are instructions which say that you can do more than that
with a fedoraproject.org address, please point them out so I can
figure out why they said that.

OK I am not sure these will work anymore. This is a 3 year old article and
lots of changes in how gmail works. I have cc'd the people who I think have
maintenance of that blog to know they need to update/fix this.

You first need to setup this address correctly .. Read in Google help or
using internet search about HOW TO SETUP AN ALIAS EMAIL ADDRESS using gmail
, outlook email services .
Or You can get the same details from fedoraproject wiki .
Please remember Google email services and few otgers need some changes
prior to enabling email send or receive via non google email ALIAS address
.. check the details

It isn't automatic but is 'awarded' after you have joined a group in
Fedora. (AKA have gone past just signing the fpca). Once you have
become a packager or some other group, it gets added on the next run
to the mail proxy which will alias @fedoraproject.org -> <your real
address>.
