1. I'd like to specify 4 nameservers (2 IPv4 + 2 IPv6) using ifcfg-interface file. On my system (CentOS 7.0.1406, initscripts-9.49.17-1.el7.x86_64) it is only possible to set 2 nameservers using DNS1 and DNS2 directives, DNS3 is ignored. Wouldn't it be a good idea to expand DNS{1,2} directives with DNS{3,4} ?

2.  PEERDNS directive modifies /etc/resolv.conf with dns addresses provided by DNS{1,2} directives or by the DHCP server (when using dhclient). What does IPV6_PEERDNS directive do? Is it there for DHCPv6 or NetworkManager?
