Hi All,
The nightly builds are now available. The images will be available
from the following link:
https://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/iot/
The getting started guide is available here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/InternetOfThings/GettingStarted
The container runtime is currently podman, it works in basically the
same way as docker but is lighter on resources which I feel is
critical for IoT platforms, there's some links in the guide for
details about that. Once the base images settles I'll be looking at
reference examples for containers and other details.
This is the first pass at getting the compose process and images in
place and at the moment there's not too much difference between these
images and Atomic Host. Moving forward there will be IoT branding and
profiles to further enhance security features of the OS, obviously
something that is useful for IoT :-)
Feedback and suggestions on both the images and docs actively welcome.
Enjoy!
Regards,
Peter

Hi All,
I was hoping to have nightly composes announced by now (well a few
weeks ago TBH) but there was a few issues, one remaining [1] stopping
me from doing that ATM.
So in the mean time I'm sure there's quite a bit we can start to
discuss so I'm going to propose an initial meeting time to get us
moving and we can adjust as people get involved to suit everyone as
best as possible (we're not going to be able to suit everyone).
The initial meeting time will be 14:00 UTC starting Wed May 30th,
recurring weekly. iCal link below [2].
Any queries please reply, or if unrelated to the meeting time feel
free to start a new thread on the list.
Regards,
Peter
