non-functional. Is there an obvious way to create a user (or to set the root password) on
a Raspberry Pi? I've found files I could edit but not sure of the implications of
doing so.
It was down for about ~ 30 mins while it was migrated to a different
means of hosting.

commissioning suggest that the decision to not have a default user/password should be

Having a default username/password is a massive security risk, and
it's something that in Fedora Arm and associated we've never done
because of this, I've had details from other arm distros that have had
their devices added into bot nets because people don't change the
defaults. You can add a key using arm-image-installer.
