Does anyone have an idea or a friend with enough clue :) to supply a reasonable guestimate as to the time/effort involved in packaging Alfresco for Fedora?

Anyone know someone at Alfresco who might care?
Short summary - I've got a contact with engineers interested in Alfresco for their enterprise environment; they might commit resources to packaging (Fedora + EPEL); none of us know how much effort is involved; they don't want to do it alone, unless it's easy enough.

It's _really_ hard to say. Since upstreams vary *wildly* in their build-ability it's difficult to guess how long each dependency will take. As for Alfresco itself, that depends upon how sane their build setup is and how easy it is to override their dependency location(s). I suspect Alfresco itself won't be too bad (famous last words).

From my experience it takes a fair amount of work to package lots of Java
dependencies. I'm willing to give a little bit of help. I ended up packaging up the binary distribution for internal use.
