Amarok on new F11
by Anne Wilson
New installation (+kde updates) on laptop - A track plays for just under 1
minute, then starts to race through the rest with only crackles and pops
souding. The same track plays to the end in kaffeine.
I had to change the default in Amarok from Intel ICH6 to PA to get it to play
at all, but that's the only change I've made. Any idea what the problem might
be? Thanks

New eye-candy
by Anne Wilson
One thing that puzzles me - on the netbook I have 'air' as a wallpaper, and a
yawp plasmoid on my desktop. On my new laptop install I can't find either,
despite following the links to KDE-Look.org. Seems to me that it only
displays a tiny subset of what's available, and searching doesn't seem to
help. What am I missing?

Firewall strangeness
by Anne Wilson
I have been using s-c-firewall on this laptop, but I needed to track down a
problem, so Iused s.c.f to disable the firewall. Now the issue is resolved I
want to re-enable it, but can't. I've also tried 'service iptables start'
iptables: Applying firewall rules: iptables-restore v1.4.3.1: interface name
`Wireless_connection_1' must be shorter than IFNAMSIZ (15)
Error occurred at line: 12
Nothing has changed since iptables was happily running.
'Wireless_connection_1' is not something that I entered.
Googling hasn't come up with anything helpful, so I'm stuck. Somewhere there
must be a file that has line 12 containing 'Wireless_connection_1' - can
anyone tell me where to find it?
Thanks

SELinux is preventing kdm (xdm_t) "execute" bootloader_exec_t
by Garry Williams
I noticed these denials (denying execute of grub by kdm) appearing
about a month ago (Fedora 11) whenever I select the "Leave" option on
the desktop right-click menu. I did a search and found this:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=505408
Daniel Walsh (Mr. Selinux for Red Hat) says it will not be fixed
because it's considered a security exposure to allow the login screen
to "modify grub without logging in".
What's up with this? What is kdm up to here?

kde-4.3.0 preparations
by Rex Dieter
I'd like to get started at least preparing for some kde-4.3.0 builds for
F-11, F-10, means we'd likely first want to announce our intentions to
fedora-devel-announce, outline all the pkg updates required etc...
I'll get to work on some rough drafts, otherwise, anyone else with
thoughts, input, and/or able to help out, let's here it... or drop by

KDE 4.3 RC3 and Clipboard
by Reindl Harald (Junk)
I'am the only one whos clipboard does not work any longer
Especially between KDE/GTK-Apps but in parts also select
and paste with middle-click from konsole to kate
Sometimes its a workaround to use gedit to get some text
from firefox to a textfile and back
Against RC1/RC2 there seems to be more inconstiences and
small bugs which mostly difficult to track

Entering a bug in bugzilla
by Timothy Murphy
I have been trying to enter a bug in <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/>
but I don't see how to.
I have searched the bugzilla reports
for "CUPS auth-info-required=username,password"
but found nothing relevant.
So I click on "Enter a new bug report".
I am taken to the page <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi>
but I see nowhere on this to enter a bug title or a bug.
I read in the Help for this page,
"You first have to select the product in which you found a bug".
but I see no way to make such a selection.
What am I missing?
