iphone and amarok on F14

Hi Is amarok expected to see music on an iphone 3GS plugged into an F14 system, because it didnt for me? I plugged in the iphone then started amarok. After plugging in the iphone there is a pop-up that allows one to view photos, but that is all. I'm wondering if I need to install libmtp-hal to make this work. If so, I'm assuming I still have to fix the bug listed here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=642487 Am I right in thinking kde apps(like amarok) still use hal for hardware discovery while gtk apps no longer do? Thanks for any light anyone might be able to shed. Roderick

executing scripts at login and logout

Hallo is there a general way to execut scripts shortly after login (but before the GUI is started) and before logout (all GUI components are brought down)? For kde I can use /etc/kde/env and /etc/kde/shutdown folders, but what about other GUIs (like Gnome)? I want to sync home directories from server to local host (if the server is available) at login and resync the data from local host to the server (if available as well). Martin

nm-applet autoload

After an upgrade from F12 to F14, which went very smoothly even on an old laptop (yea!), nm-applet is no longer loaded automatically under KDE. I can load it manually from a terminal, and then all is well, but this is a hassle. I could also add it to the Autostart folder, but that seems the wrong way to handle it. Suggestions? SELinux denied /usr/bin/kdm mount on /

Hallo I have this error message from SELinux every time I log in. This is independent of the user. In the past I had disabled SELinux because of this error (and postfix errors btw.). Is anyone seeing this error as well? How can I circumvent this? I am on Fedora 14 (the error was present on F12 and F13 as well) fully updated. Martin
