koffice-2.1.81 (2.2 beta1) in kde-unstable, please test
by Rex Dieter
We now have koffice-2.1.81 in the f12 kde-unstable repo. We're toying
with the idea of including this in f13 (beta), but only if it proves
itself to be fairly usable and stable.
So, interested parties, please try it out, and provide feedback of what
you think.
I'll try to whip up a basic test plan on the wiki soonish (help here
would be appreciated too).

KAddressBook
by John Aldrich
Is there ANY way to get KMail / KDEPIM to read KAddress Book? If not, how
the heck are we supposed to create new address entries for KMail? I've
followed the how-to in http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi_and_AddressBook and
I have everything set up as indicated there, but whenever I create a new
entry in KAddress book, it never shows up in KMail when trying to browse
for an address. What are we supposed to do, go through each and every entry
in our KAddress Book and export them to VCF files and move them into the new
directory so that KDEPIM can magically find them?
Who's brilliant idea was it to release a half-baked app anyway?

I assume that this is an issue with the previous koffice package(s)?

Dolphin panel get squeezed
by Armelius Cameron
Hello,
This may be nitpicking but I am wondering if anyone else sees this. I have 2
panels in dolphin: Places and Folders. They are stacked on the left side of
Dolphin. Every time I open Dolphin, those panels are always squeezed to their
minimum. I have to always drag the 'divider' to expand it. But Dolphin cannot
seem to remember this, no matter what I do. So for every Dolphin instance I
have to always drag the thing to make the panel usable.
I don't remember it to be this way before. Any idea ?
Thanks

breakage in kdiff3
by Neal Becker
What am I doing wrong here? kdiff3 seems to have some new breakage:
kdiff3
kdiff3(3580) KXMLGUIClient::setXMLFile: cannot find .rc file
"kdiff3_part.rc" for component "kdiff3part"
Calling appendChild() on a null node does nothing.
kdiff3(3580)/kparts KParts::Part::~Part: deleting widget
KDiff3App(0x11fd7f0, name = "KDiff3App") "KDiff3App"
locate kdiff3_part.rc
/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdiff3/kdiff3_part.rc
I'm the maintainer for kdiff3, so I guess I'd better fix it. Any hints?
