Re: kded Crash at Login
by Rex Dieter
I'm guessing you may be hitting
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1228779
which should be fixed by:
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/f22-kde-theme-22.3-4.fc22
quick-n-dirty workaround, edit ~/.config/kdeglobals, and remove from [KDE] group:
LookAndFeelPackage=
key.

Subject: kded Crash at Login
After updating F22, I cannot use the desktop any more. It's locked up
and I see repeated kded crashes in the log.
I created another user and this user works fine. But I have no idea
what settings are messing up the kded. (Actually, F22 completely
trashed all my former KDE settings, so I have no idea what to look
for.)

Klipper question F21
by Colin J Thomson
Hi,
For some reason some actions in Klipper have stopped working, for example when
highlighting a URL a pop up would appear asking to open the URL.
On checking the Actions tab in Klipper there are no Actions listed.
Are these actions part of Klipper (kde-workspace) or from another file. I'm
wondering if something got missed when I reverted back to KDE 4.

sddm RebootCommand
by Ed Greshko
There is a problem to shutdown or reboot a system if the network in use is wireless and there are nfs mounts. I believe what is happening is that the network is being closed before the unmounts. I think I should file a bugzilla against systemd but.....
I found that if I issue this command from the command line the system will reboot properly.
/usr/bin/umount -a -t nfs4 ; /usr/bin/systemctl reboot
So, I modified the sddm.conf to have this line
RebootCommand=/usr/bin/umount -a -t nfs4 ; /usr/bin/systemctl reboot
The reboot process still hangs and messages about "nfs server not responding" are displayed.
Shouldn't this work?

Prevent sleep on lid close at login prompt
by Ed Greshko
Running F22 on an Acer laptop. When logged in to KDE one can set power management to do nothing on a lid close.
How can this be accomplished when sitting at the sddm login prompt? At the moment, a lid close will cause a sleep condition.

Restricting mime types handled by kpartsplugin for firefox
by Roderick Johnstone
Hi
Anyone know how to easily restrict the mime types that the firefox
plugin part of kpartsplugin handles? I need to configure this system
wide for all users.
I'd just want to use it for embedding pdf documents in firefox using
okular, but it seems to want to handle loads of other mime types too.
Thanks

not enter sleep.

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Konsole won't save my settings
by Dhaval Anjaria
When I create a new profile or make changes to one, Konsole will not save
any of that and simply revert back to the old profile. I can't even have
the menu show both profiles because that it won't save that selection
either.
Does anyone know what I can do here?
