kde plasma/breeze problems
by George R Goffe
Hi,
I have made my system (Fedora 22 x86_64) up to date with DNF, rebooted and started KDE from run level 3 with startx.
There are still things that still don't work.
1) menu->systemsettings does nothing that I can see. NO menu appeared.
2) I
have a laptop display and a Samsung TV as monitor 2 but the settings are not a dual monitor. The Samsung has nothing on the bottom, I have "auto hide" set. Hovering the mouse pointer over where the menu (bar/panel?) should appear produces NO activity.
3) The desktop right button click now works for a while but is currently non responsive.
Any hints/tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
George...

Can we get kde-stable fixed? The libwebp errors are still there.

qtwebkit update problem in SL6
by John Pilkington
I just updated my SL6 32-bit laptop, which hadn't been used for several
weeks. It seems to work well but libwebp cannot be updated because
qtwebkit-2.3.3-1 requires libwebp.so.4 instead of the libwebp.so.5 now
on offer.
Package: qtwebkit-2.3.3-1.el6.i686 (@kde-unstable/6.4)
Requires: libwebp.so.4

Update logs?
by Ed Greshko
When packages are updated by using the "apper" icon in the systray where are the logs?
I think today's update fixed my plasma-shell freezes but I didn't see precisely which packages were updated and I'm considering downgrading just to see if that restores the freeze.

Xorg at 100% cpu when screen is locked (after a while)
by Roderick Johnstone
Hi
I'm seeing Xorg take 100% cpu, sometimes, when the screen is locked.
Under that condition my password doesn't unlock the screen any more.
It doesn't happen immediately when the screen locks, but sometime later.
Actually I've just turned the screen locker off to see if its going to
happen without the screen locker on as well.
I'm using the proprietary nvidia driver 304xx-304.125 so I know I
haven't got a leg to stand on...
.xsession-errors has:
QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 31517, resource id:
79691778, major code: 18 (ChangeProperty), minor code: 0
and if I strace Xorg I see:
--- SIGALRM {si_signo=SIGALRM, si_code=SI_KERNEL,
si_value={int=809121587, ptr=0x54552036303a3733}} ---
rt_sigreturn({mask=[]}) = 77929408
--- SIGALRM {si_signo=SIGALRM, si_code=SI_KERNEL,
si_value={int=809121587, ptr=0x54552036303a3733}} ---
rt_sigreturn({mask=[]}) = 77960128
for ever.
Anyone else on nvidia drivers see similar behaviour?
Thanks

Fedora 22: Mouse scrolling too slow on KDE text editors
by Syam Krishnan
Hi..
I just installed Fedora 22, KDE edition. I find that mouse scrolling is
too slow (as in it only scrolls a few lines) in KWrite and Kate. But
it's OK in Okular, Firefox, Thunderbird and Qt Creator.
I found a "Mouse wheel scrolls by" setting in System Settings, but
changing it from "3 lines" to "8 lines" does not seem to have an effect.
Anybody else noticing this?
If I were to file a bug for this, what do I file it against?
Thanks,
Syam

Broken icons
by Mattia Verga
Hi,
I've put a folder view applet on my desktop set to show the Desktop folder.
At login I get broken icons for Trash, Home and for a device link, while
base link icons to folders are fine.
Selecting to refresh the folder view doesn't fix the problem, but if I
edit properties of Trash or Home, icons are reloaded correctly.
Is anyone else seeing the same behaviour?
Thanks

anyone use knode?
by Neal Becker
One thing I'm seeing after update to f22 when using knode, in the article
list view, I'm used to opening/closing threads by just click on them. Now
it seems expand/collapse threads only is bound to 't', not mouse click. I
can't see how to change it.

KDE on CentOS 6.6
by zohouri.h.aa
Dear all,
I hope this is the correct place to ask about this. I have been desperately trying to somehow install a version of KDE newer than 4.3.4 on CentOS 6.6 and during my searches, I came upon the following page:
http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/
I followed the instructions on the page (enabled EPEL and added kde.repo to /etc/yum.repos.d/) but when I try to update KDE, I get the following dependency resolution issues:

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
Considering the fact that this mailing list seems to be affiliated with the aforementioned website, I was hoping someone would be able to help me resolve this issue.

firewall configuration not working (no connection - waiting)
by Neal Becker
I think it was working before, but not now.
If I open firewall configuration from launcher, it is grayed out. I believe
it should open a dialog asking for a password (for sudo), but it doesn't. I
believe when I've used it before it did that.
I don't see any messages in .xsession-errors or /var/log/messages that look
relevant.
I did try logout/login.
