New default web browser on KDE Spin
by Eric Griffith
Hey all, question for the List:
What would it take / whats the protocol to push forward the idea of
replacing Konqueror as the default web browser? Konqueror doesn't seem like
its going anywhere, and I really think that the user experience would be
better served if either Rekonq, or ideally, Firefox were the default
browsers. Is there any specific reason that Konqueror has stuck around as
the default for so long?

2 screens 1 black
by Neal Becker
I've been using 2 screens (laptop + external) for some time.
It's worked OK for some time, but recently (some update?) it's working less
well.
After using just the laptop, I connect the monitor. In the past, kde
doesn't notice and I need to run xrandr to turn on the monitor. Now, it
seems to turn on monitor (after a bit of delay), but the laptop screen then
has no background (just black), and right click on laptop background does
nothing. Running xrandr doesn't fix it. Only logoff/logon fixes it.

Up arrow toggles window shadow decoration
by Gene Smith
Recently I started having a problem with the main "up arrow" key in that
it stopped working in f21 kde. When pressed it now just toggles the
window shadow/highlight on/off of the current window and does not have
the expected scrolling effect. The other main arrow keys work as
expected. (The arrow keys in the numerical keypad still work as expected.)
The main up arrow key works as expected in a terminal (e.g., after
pressing ctrl-alt-f2 and logging in).
The kde setting for keyboard had not been touched and was at default 101
key keyboard. Tried a few other layouts there but it did not affect the
problem.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
