Amarok muted
by Timothy Murphy
I'm trying to play an mp3 podcast on my Fedora-24/KDE laptop,
and I am getting no sound.
I'm told that Volume is at 60$ and is muted.
I have not used Amarok for some time.
Is there a knack to using it under Fedora-24?

Fwd: Koji issues with F25?
by Gerald B. Cox
I asked this question on devel, but thought somebody here may have a clue
as to what is happening....
I'm trying to build a new package. It completed with no issues on F26
(rawhide) and F24. However, the build keeps failing on F25????
Here is the build link which is reporting the error? Why would this fail
only on F25? Doesn't make much sense.
Basically for some reason, the make install is working fine and installing
the file on F24 and rawhide, but isn't working on F25.

Yes, I saw that... but I if you look at the rawhide and F24 build, it is
installed fine. It also installed fine on copr. It's
a bit bizarre if you ask me. If it is working on the release before and
the release after F25 - seems to me that points to
some peculiarly with F25.
I checked some other builds that used appdata, and they included gettext...
so I included that, plus I found a post
that suggested dconf-devel and dconf-editor.... so I included those also...
and still same result. I'm stumped.

fedora-review complaining about un-owned qt/plasma directories
by Gerald B. Cox
I'm currently having a package reviewed here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1367971
fedora-review is complaining about several directories which are un-owned.
These are
existing directories... not created by me.
If I check using rpm -qf directory_name; they show un-owned.
Here is what I have in the spec file:
%files -f %{name}.lang
%doc README.md
%license LICENSE
%{_kf5_qmldir}/org/kde/private/weatherWidget/
%{_kf5_metainfodir}/org.kde.weatherWidget.appdata.xml
%{_kf5_datadir}/kservices5/plasma-applet-org.kde.weatherWidget.desktop
%{_kf5_datadir}/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.weatherWidget/
Any assistance to understand this will be appreciated. Thanks!

Recent updates seem to restart X/KDE?
by Brad Hubbard
This seems like new behaviour as I don't remember seeing it until recently.
Is this expected and will it be commonplace going forward?

First Login after Reboot
by Ed Greshko
On the first login after a reboot the "IBus Panel" in the systray fails to appear.
Logging out and back in, and all subsequent logins, will have the "IBus Panel".
On the first login I see.

egreshko 2432 1592 0 11:20 ? 00:00:00 /usr/libexec/ibus-x11 --kill-daemon
On the second login I see.

Any suggestions as to how to debug? A minor annoyance but still would be nice to track it
down. Not even sure what component to BZ this against.

Problem launching konsole from start menu
by Roderick Johnstone
Hi
I have a user who cannot launch konsole from the start menu. Nothing
happens. If I start a different terminal and type konsole from the
command line, it all works as expected.
I'm not seeing any associated errors in .xsession-errors.
By moving ~/.config ~/.local and ~/.kde to .off I was able to get the
message:
"Unable to make the service Konsole executable, aborting execution."
when clicking the start menu item.
Other users on the same system can launch konsole from the menu without
problems.
Any ideas how I can debug this please?
Thanks
