logout screen unreadable

If I try to logout (e.g., alt-ctrl-del), I'm presented with a logout screen that looks like the logout screen we've seen on KDE for some time, but it's almost completely unreadable as it is a very dark foreground on a black background. This change happened maybe a couple of months ago.

Odd message for a successful operation

Continuing to play with dnfdragora I started it from the command line to perform updates that were pending. The following, in part, was output to the terminal. Download Error : kf5-kcodecs-5.35.0-1.fc26_5.36.0-1.fc26.x86_64.drpm - done Download Error : kf5-kidletime-5.35.0-1.fc26_5.36.0-1.fc26.x86_64.drpm - done Download Error : kf5-baloo-5.35.0-1.fc26_5.36.0-1.fc26.x86_64.drpm - done Download Error : kf5-kxmlgui-5.35.0-1.fc26_5.36.0-1.fc26.x86_64.drpm - done Download Error : kf5-kross-core-5.35.0-1.fc26_5.36.0-1.fc26.x86_64.drpm - done Download Error : kf5-kcompletion-5.35.0-1.fc26_5.36.0-1.fc26.x86_64.drpm - done There was no "Error" that I could see. dnfdragora needs PackageKit to appear in the systray?

There seems to be no dependencies of PackageKit for dnfdragora. However if one doesn't have PackKit installed dnfdragora will not show up in the systray. At login time I get a notification popup from dnfdragora that updates are available but it doesn't exist in the systray. If I install PackageKit, reboot, and login I get the notification popup and a dnfdragora icon in the systray where I can right click and pick Update. Live Image rationalisation - Part 2

Following on from the previous thread, I would like to suggest more: 1) kmail should not depend on grantlee-editor. This will remove 3 x icons from the Internet applications menu. I'm not sure anyone would care about losing this from the live image. 2) Replace kgpg with kleopatra. kgpg is not used by kmail at all. It is used with Kleopatra for gpg functionality. I know the functionality is slightly different, but seeing a you can't use gpg in kmail without it, I believe it makes sense. 3) Remove kde-partitionmanager. The installer comes with an advanced partitioning system now. This seems redundant. 4) Remove krusader. The featured file manager is Dolphin. It doesn't really make sense to ship 2 x file managers. You could easily install it again after transferring the install image to disk - but for basic file operations, dolphin is more than sufficient. 5) Remove kfrb. I don't believe we need this on a live image at all? 6) Remove kcharselect. I don't believe we'd need this on a live image? KDE SIG QA help needed

Hey everyone. We're going to have a hard time keeping KDE a release-blocking spin if the QA team doesn't get more active help from KDE SIG folks. I know many of you are active and involved, but we're getting into a sitation where a lot of fairly bad bugs are found at the last minute because no one looked before the QA person running through the final battery of tests. Particularly, the "everything installed by default must basically function" criteria is really hard. KDE installs a lot more than Workstation does, so a lot of testing is required. Paring down this list would obviously help, but so would simply going through everything using nightly builds once F27 branches in about a month (see the schedule here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/27/Schedule) and marking anything that should be a blocker as such -- and then repeating that again at Final Freeze. That way, it won't come down to discovering big problems literally on the day we want to send the release out the door -- which forces us to make hard decisions. dnfdragora updater

Just recently updated to F26 from F25 on my everyday system and decided to give dnfdragora a go. Today the dnfdragora icon popped up (actually it was there when I re-logged in) on my systray to inform me that 6 updates were available. I opened the right clicked on the icon, opened the dnfdragora dialog and updated the 6 packages. After the update I would have expected the icon to vanish as the "Software Updates" icon does if you use it to perform updates. Or, if you run "pkcon refresh" after using dnf. But it remains on the systray even though "Entries" settings for dnfdragora-updater is set to Auto. Am I mistaken to expect the icon to not be displayed when no updates are pending? -- Fedora Users List - The place to go to speculate endlessly

Updated and everything seems to have gone OK. Just a couple of nits At login, A dialog informs me I need auth to configure network. I never had this before - don't want it either. I now have 2 bluetooth icons in my panel. What appears to be the older system settings bluetooth, and now a new blueman. Guess I should get rid of one or the other.
