kdeconnect plasmoid doesn't show notifications anymore
by Sinan H
Hey folks,
Somehow my kdeconnect plasmoid doesn't show notifications from my phone anymore. They are (calls/sms only) shown with regular notifications, but nothing on the plasmoid.
It works under gnome/gsconnect as expected and everything else is OK so this isn't a connection, nor phone-side config issue. I've tried to fiddle with all options, even nuked .config/kdeconnect to no avail.
Is it my setup or something has changed somewhere ? Any thoughts ?

QtCreator on F29
by Richard Kimberly Heck
Since upgrading to Fedora 29 (yes, I tend to be a bit behind), I've been
having problems using QtCreator as I always have to work on LyX.
Specifically, QtCreator fails to find a lot of included files, with the
result that there are gazillions of 'parse errors' displayed in the
editor. For example, our own generated config.h is not found, and
QtCreator complains that none of the Qt headers are found.
Any idea what has changed or what I might do? I've tried deleting all
the *.creator files, etc.

Dolphin and Konqueror not using System Time format
by Peter G.
Note: I have switched to Plasma Wayland for a few weeks now, as Plasma X11 required rebooting after nearly every login/logout and suspend/resume cycle—the screen would just be black and the system hung. So, I gave Wayland a try and I find it to work 97% effectively. Hence, this question must be answered in the appropriate context.
Question: Why do Dolphin and Korganizer not honour my system time format? All of my directories and files are shown in AM/PM mode, even though my locale/system time setting uses 24-hour format. My calendar in AM/PM format, not in the system 24-hour time. And yet, Konsole shows everything correctly!

plasma 5.15.90: where is it amarok?
by José Abílio Matos
Hi,
I am running plasma 5.15.90 from the mkyral-plasma-unstable repo.
Everything works and the only problem I have is that applications that usually
are docked like amarok does not show up anymore in the system tray
(equivalent).
The application are running but I do not see them. Is there any way to get
them back to visibility instead of being cloaked?

KDE Telepathy Bonjour account: This IM Account cannot be created - a
Telepathy Connection Manager named 'salut' is missing or it cannot
handle
protocol 'local-xmpp'. Please try installing salut with your package manager.
by Dennis Schridde
Hi!
I was trying to setup a Bonjour (local XMPP) account in KDE Plasma System Settings for KDE Telepathy. In `System Settings > Online Accounts > Create`, I clicked "Bonjour" in the list on the right. This action was answered with an error dialogue box: "This IM Account cannot be created - a Telepathy Connection Manager named 'salut' is missing or it cannot handle protocol 'local-xmpp'. Please try installing salut with your package manager." However, `telepathy-salut` is already installed on my machine. Does anyone have an idea how to debug this, or where I would find the actual error message that led to this?
I am using Fedora 27 KDE, with telepathy-salut currently being at version 0.8.1 (release 12.fc27), telepathy-mission control at version 5.16.4 (epoch 1, release 4.fc27) and ktp-accounts-kcm at version 17.12.1(release 1.fc27).
Best regards,
Dennis
