Everyone:
With F43 KDE Plasma Desktop, whether on the live installer or on my HP
desktop with a fresh installation, I dare not leave my computer for more
than about 10 minutes at a time before the screen dies or goes blank
(expected), and then the device freezes.
When this happens, the power button, normally shining blue, turns burnt
orange. Neither keystroke nor mouse movement will avail to restore the
screen or any function. Sometimes the screen will show a messy display.
Nothing will avail except a hard reboot.
As long as I can keep active with keystrokes or mouse movements, the
problem will not show. I have not yet tried this with viewing a live stream
or lengthy video. (Fortunately most of my live streams are interactive,
requiring frequent keystrokes to stay active in a chat, so that staves off
the problem. )
I never had this problem before. I'm used to leaving my desktop running
continuously for days at a time. Now I hardly dare get up to sit down for a
meal!
Did I do something wrong, either In making my live installer or in
installing F43 to my desktop? How can I repair my system to make this
problem go away? Please advise - or tell me the problem is bigger than on
KDE alone.
