Firmware update fetching

The latest firmware updates seem to be taking forever to fetch. I've been waiting for six and a half hours to fetch those, and Discover refuses to process any other updates until those are downloaded. How long do I have to wait? How long _should_ I have to wait? Can I set up the fetching routine to bypass the firmware updates, or is it safe to update from RPM and flatpak but not the firmware update server? Please advise. -- Temlakos <temlakos(a)gmail.com>

High CPU usage after F42->F43 upgrade

I am experiencing a high CPU usage of my plasma 6.5.1 after F42->F43 upgrade. System Monitor shows that "Background Services" take roughly 5% of my 24-core Ryzen, which basically represent one full core running at 100% all the time even when the desktop is completely idle. F42 when idle would have negligible CPU load less than 1%. Is this normal? If not, how should I troubleshoot? Thanks Frank -- <listfrank1(a)gmail.com>

https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-login-manager I created an RPM package to test it instead of SDDM, and it seems to work. Does the team plan to offer it as a supported solution?
