Every few minutes I'm getting a pop-up alert complaining about

my NFS systems not responding. This system is automounted from a NAS

run an 'ls' on it it wakes up correctly as it should, but for some
reason Plasma thinks it's dead. Before I changed from a hard mount to
automount this never happened.
How can I get Plasma to shut up about it?
I ran 'journalctl -e' when it happened again and the only thing with
the current timestamp was some stuff from 'pcp', a package I've never
heard of and don't recall installing. Apparently it stands for
Performance Co-Pilot and carries out some kind of monitoring function,
but nothing else in my system depends on it and I've no idea how to use
it in any case.
I removed it and the problem seems to have gone away.
