The subject pretty much covers it. Ever since I have updated to KDE 4.9.1, Fedora 17, all my startup programs come up in desktop 2. The only way I have found to make them start in desktop 1 is to only have 1 desktop. If I start with only 1 desktop, then expand to 4, they will stay in 1 until I log off, but when I log back in, they start in desktop 2 again.
