There is no separate video card. The motherboard has embedded graphics.
The processor is a Intel i5-6400 quad core skylake chip and it uses the
Intel drivers that come with Fedora. The system is a relatively new
ASUS M32CD. Bought it a few months ago to replace my old ageing server
and has been running fine until now.
Here's what's shown in my .xsessions-errors file:

You might start by giving your video card, and whether it's using
proprietary or free drivers.
