I opened a bug report to have this package upgraded to 1.7.0, and it's been sitting about a month now. I reached out to the listed maintainer and he said he hasn't touched the package in over a decade.
I can take ownership if no one else wants it.
choqok 1.7.0 allows for tweets longer than 140 characters and includes mastodon support.

I did see your bug this morning and have granted you admin on the package in pagure.
I wasn't able to answer the bug as my fedora login didn't work.
